Why Are Christians so Terrified of Harry Potter and the Occult?

It's funny how Christians have no problem living by a book that has it's "heroes" cursing people in the name of God and getting him to sic bears on children (2 Kings 2:23-25), but get their panties in a bunch over some wand waving teenagers that never claim to be real. Apparently, just like slavery and genocide, only God-sanctioned magic is ok.

for starters, the "occult" only means hidden.....not necessarily "evil".

to me, christians are the real make believers. the bible is basically an ancient fairy tale book of jesus christ superstar, sex, drugs and rock and roll......

@lilbuff84 I have no problems with Christians on the base level. It's just when they take it too far. When I hear people protesting Harry Potter and saying its the devil, all i can say is like..."ugh". Because theyre totally using religion as a mask to express their hatred. and that, i think, corrupts the basic good things about christianity.
