#20 The Invention of Lying (A Review and Commentary)

I just watched this film last night.

Im an atheist. initially i thought 'lol hes p0wning religion in a mainstream film amazing!'.

But it got tiresome - theres plenty of people doing this already in the media, dawkins, hitchens, sam harris etc.

what could have been a very funny film based on jokes about not being able to lie, and creating scenarios around this element, simply turned into religion bashing, which im all for, but in a movie it simply ended up being mildly amusing at best.

@schumiisking I don't disagree with you. I even said at the beginning of my review that it's mildly amusing at best. Yet, it was bold. In our society, it's still anathema to openly provoke atheistic (let alone anti-theistic) thoughts in so-called "family entertainment."
