I hope you are Armenians though the child doesn't carry and armenian name. It is better to give Armenian children to Armenians. After the Armenian Genocide many orphans were sent to the USA on the ships among them was my grandpa but he managed to escape. My grand granadpa's second wife's children were in orphanage and they had sent them to the USA before she had a chance to take them back but it was already too late. So thousands of Armenian children were lost forever.
i'm a 14 year old boy, i am adopted from Ethiopia, and this video made me cry because my parrents adopting me without the economy to handle it has brought me so much sadness :(
But your child looks intelligent pretty and will lead a wonderful life i am sure!
That is great you were able to adopt a kid and give them a home. I heard it is impossible to adopt overseas especially in countries so secluded and controlling like Armenia. I would say luck has a lot to do with it and money.
@Americathebrave100: It is not impossible at all and was an easy process. Now, however, it is much harder because adoptions in Armenia have been opened up to everyone regardless of ethnicity (you used to have to have Armenian heritage). The wait has gone from 1-1.5 years to 3+ years.
I was very touched by your video. My husband and I are talking about adopting a little girl from Armenian. My husband has an Armenian family. He was luck to have a grandmother who survived the genocide sadly the rest of her family was killed right before her eyes. The Armenian heritage is very important to me and something I think should be remembered and realized by more people. You are truly lucky and Annalea is a very precious little girl. This video was a real blessing. Thank you, God bless
woww the assemblance of annalea to you guys is amazing!! definitely this girl was mean to be yours! congratulations!! and she looks like a very happy child! =) so cute!
Thank you for adopting your daughter. As a fellow Armenian, I am very grateful. However, I beg you to raise Annalea to be aware of her Armenian heritage. As every day goes by, we assimilate more and more into American culture. Please raise her to know her history and her culture. If you need any advice on how to do that, please contact me. God bless you
Thank you for your comment. Please be confident that Annalea will be raised to know her heritage. I am half Armenian and my grandparents were survivors of the Turkish genocide. Annalea was baptized in the Armenian Apostolic Church. I only wish everyone would do the same with their Armenian children, and many do. But unfortunately now Armenian adoptions are open to people of all ethnicities, so the risk of them losing touch with their heritage is greater.
Thank you for the reassurance. We all need to take personal responsibility for protecting our culture, especially since our ancestors fought to protect it for over 5000 years. Hopefully, all of us Armenians have a bright future ahead of us. And I'm sorry that your family had to endure the pain of the genocide.
What a wonderful thing to do! You can see that Annalea was meant to come into your lives, she looks like she just belongs! Beautiful little girl and what a handsome big brother! All the health and happiness to your family.God Bless! :)
I ADMIRE YOU. THIS VIDEO MADE MY CRY. THANK YOU FOR GIVING HER A HAPPY LIFE :)
