you don’t need it to save battery. you can disable background notifications in twidroyd’s settings and as soon as switch away from the app, no internet connection is required any more.

hint: enabling "always refresh at launch" will do a refresh right after entering the app again.

I'm going to use Twidroid when I upgrade from my HTC Mogul to the HTC Hero. Right now I'm running the Twitter app "MoTweets". It works really smooth and it's fast but it's only for phones running windows mobile.

I love my iPhone 3G, but Android is awesome. I played with my friends G1, and it's a really cool OS.

I didn't like the hardware styling, but the Magic(G2) looks like it'll address that.

I think they seem to be fairly on par atm (with iPhone beeing slightly smoother), but I think android will leave iPhone behind within a year in terms of features, applications, variety of hardware and customizability.

Tell me about it. Got an xperia now and its actually impressive how poorly they have managed to make that OS. I doubt 6.5 will make enough difference.

I just dont see what WM can bring to the table that android doesnt do better, and for free.
