When these were brand new, I noticed one in particular on Miami Beach. At where the two sections join, it was bending downward severely. The bottom of the "accordion" was almost dragging the street. I knew then this was not the norm, and that they were going to have structural issues.

Did those retired? I rode one of them on Rt#S Aventura from Downtown to Bal Harbour back in 1999 and I loved them.

Yep they are all retired as soon as they became 12 years old,they had all kind of problems.

@MAR1NAB5180 Sounds like Chicago's 2003-04 NABI 60LFWs had all kinds of issues too, even when they were brand new and its weird that they retired them permantely early last year. But I did liked these MDTA's Ikarus 60 Ft. better. I rode them back in 1999 and they sounded good back then. Thanks for posting this.
