I think a lot of it has to do with the Moneyball Era and what McGwire and Sosa achieved in 1998 that prompted him to start using PEDs. He was already a five-tool player who could of been the charter member of the 50/50 club, but PEDs robbed him of his feet in favor of powering his swing. PEDs are robbing the game of the "complete player" and Barry is a perfect example of that.

When you gain the extra weight it sometimes messes up your batting stance because you don't have the same ballence in your batting stance as you did before you took the steroids... it can take weeks of practice to get a batting stance that works with your newly found strength and weight from the steroids... Barry Bonds was already one of the best players in this generation before he juiced up. I think a lot of it has to do with the Moneyball Era and what McGwire and Sosa achieved in 1998 that prompted him to start using PEDs. He was already a five-tool player who could of been the charter member of the 50/50 club, but PEDs robbed him of his feet in favor of powering his swing. PEDs are robbing the game of the "complete player" and Barry is a perfect example of that.

Josh Gibson is the greatest baseball player ever! He had 84 homeruns in the Negro Leagues. And he had over 800 homeruns in his career in 16 seasons... He had 800 homeruns at the age of 35!!!!!!! In 1937 he hit a 580 feet homerun, the MLB record is 565. He died of a stroke when he was 35 in 1947. 3 months before Jackie Robinson joined MLB. Josh played in a time where steroids didn't exist and homeruns where harder to hit. He's in the hall of fame but I don't thing mlb credits him enough.

Sure, he took steroids, so did roughly 80% of MLB players. No one in the steroid era put up numbers close to Barry Bonds. If Barry Bonds took steroids his whole career like Manny Ramirez, Alex Rodriguez, and other big leaguers he'd have over 1000 homers and a career OBP of over .500
Yes Bonds cheated, but you can't deny the numbers he put up were contested by no one. He is still a great player.

actually not realy.... When you use steroids you gain a lot of weight... When you gain the extra weight it sometimes messes up your batting stance because you don't have the same ballence in your batting stance as you did before you took the steroids... it can take weeks of practice to get a batting stance that works with your newly found strength and weight from the steroids... That's why im going to guess Barry Bonds only did steroids for 1 off season and wasn't constantly doing it

lol I didn't say baseball gets harder when you use steroids... I was trying to say even with steroids baseball is a hard game to play... I think steroids are overraitted and they don't help as much as people think... Sure if you use steroids you'll obviously have more power... But if you do use steroids your going to have to practice a lot so it actually does something for you... steroids isn't like a thing you can take and never need to practice ever again

it is hard to play even with steroids...but its a hell of a lot easier with them. and ill tell you what, look at baseball in the 90's. then look at it in the 80's. then look at it in the 70's. notice how each year the amount of big hr hitters goes up? well steroids were introduced into sports in the late 80's. try telling me its a small difference. even today as steroids go away hr hitters are becoming smaller by the dozen, its about defense and speed now

I agree with you on that one. These baseball players think they can just take steroids and not even have a consiquence for their actions. But, the only state that says steroids is illegal is Arizona and if you have them its a felony. But, in the other 49 states it's legal. I think that is a big problem. Well, I don't know about the other 49 states but in mine it's legal. States have their own laws on these things. With a prescription it is 100% legal in almost every state. Did you know asthma inhaler has steriods in it? Why do you think Barry Bonds had charges of lieing to the grand jury and not steriod possession?
