Hey im from northumberland and im wanting to have a nose about st marys, is it easy enough to get into, and is it as big as it looks on google earth??
@craftycaveman Hey, it can be difficult to get in as they have 24hr security snooping about. We struck lucky last time as it was a bank holiday and there weren't any guards.
0.29 is a human autopsy table. Similar to a one used by the Nazi's. It's the same one as the one in the Imperial War Museum. Why would they have them in there for?
@xoxWHYMExox A lot of older buildings have asbestos or wood that's been treated with lead, and it's just not safe. It's cheaper and safer to tear them down.
@mohammedscrewskids Haha you accuse people of being trolls and have the handle mohammedscrewskid. Get a life and look in the mirror to find the real troll.
We've smashed shit up in loads of abandoned buildings. You have done nothing... unless you are going to admit to screwing kids... which I wouldn't put past a retard such as yourself!
scary, theres a hospital near me its still open but theres a little building that has mental patients there and i know one of them she can lift a wadorobe
@BILLMANDUDE - One other thing, if you do go be VERY careful because a lot of the floors on the upper level are too dangerous to walk over. For this reason, i wouldn't advise you to go at night, its too dangerous! Absolutely gutted there knocking down such a grand and beautiful building but it is way beyond the state of repair inside, it really is. :-(
@MsMonacos10 whenever i go back to malaysia we used to go to this old abandoned school where my mother and auntie used to school at. it got knocked down along with the jungle cos of the stupid condominiums they built. it was really scary and creepy and really fun to go to! and we also went to some abandoned haunted hospital which got destroyed in a landslide or mudslide and hundreds of people died, then the japanese rebuilt it but another slide happened and more people died. its so cool there
I remember this place well from my childhood, my Aunty worked there for years as a RMN. I drove up a few times to pick her up in my late teens when she couldn't get a lift home, I remember even back then when it was fully populated how creepy the place was and my Auntie's tales of the more dangerous patients and one I'm sure she made up about a Nurse being murdered by a patient who managed to escape into the grounds of the hospital, I never did ever find out whether that was true or not.
Lol, have you got bored of chavving up your astra? Or did the filth turf you off the local park for underage drinking? New Wave Urbex smash ahahhaa. Do me a fucking favour. Little boys with nothing better to do than try and provoke a reaction. Come back when your balls have dropped.
The owners Bellways homes have upped the security patrols because of the amount of people visiting, and the police have set up a scheme with the neighbours living on the site to report anyone immediately.
Well we spent all night there yesterday, arrived about 10pm and wandered around till 5am, saw nobody at all and we weren't exactly keeping a low profile. No sign of anybody.
me and my bf and m8 went up during the day and asked the guards about the place. they were really friendly and said we could go in and have a look around. the place is huge! it is amazin just lookin at the place. im not sure if the guards would let you in on a night time but they let us in! we keep trying to go back in at the night time but if you get caught by the wrong guard u r screw*d. Just be careful what you're doing if you do go up as the place is covered in aspestos. xxx
Security can be pretty lax there too. It depends on the crew. We've been there a few times and smashed up a pile of stuff, breaking all the toilets and sinks with concrete blocks etc. It's pretty good.
TeEnZiE...if I ever come to the UK, I so want to meet you and go explore places with you! My husband and I have been talking about coming over there for a visit so I'll have to look you up! -Shannon
Awesome! I'll take you up on that offer when we ever head that way! My husband and I have been thinking of Moving to England and I have been applying for jobs online so you never know when I might show up! LOL Thanks!
It's great fun smashing up these old places before the demo guys move in. That's what urban exploration is all about.
Heaving concrete blocks through doors and walls, smashing sinks and toilets etc. And of course we are creating a rich tapestry of ever changing destruction for successive urbex groups to look at .
I will say that not everyone likes it and if a certain place is to be preserved we don't smash there. For example at Severalls the wards will probably become housing, but they will be stripped anyway. Even so we don't smash there.
As a new wave urbex smash group we do study the history and future use of the complexes we visit.
What a bell-end you truly are. What you really mean is you create a rich tapestry of ever changin glass shards and broken sinks for other urban explorers to trip over. You are a cock jockey of the highest order. 'New wave urban smash group', do me a fucking favour. Chav scum pikey group more like.
@CaraBrimleyRules Well urbexers don't. You on other hand spend your time posting comments saying about smashing things up (which you've posted for atleast a year) if you were smart enough you'd go on the demo day, but no, you're a keyboard warrior.
@TeEnZiE I'd say check out some of the channels which look at the reasons people explore and the reasons people smash stuff. Many explorers DO smash. That's a fact. There's no right to enter, and there's no right to break things but people who want to enter will often offer the excuse that they "take only photos" so it must be "all OK." If you want an example of a high profile urbexer who trangresses that, look at Rookinella from 28DL who takes stuff from buildings to sell on her ebay sites.
im just fasinated by stuff like this its just kool going through abandoned places and just going around checking things out it juss reminds me silent hill same with your slaughter house video hooks the fan everything

stannington is near morpeth in northumberland england
this place used to be a mentle hospital with hundreds inmates its kind of remote tho people that used to live there sort of stayed there nurses by day drinkers by night had its own pub used to have student nurse's accomidation (female and male ) population that lived and worked there approx 50 maybe more massive place was even more creepy when inmates where there little old ladies that had children out of wedlock and people that killed

I've recently visited St Mary's with friends, one of the most haunting places I think I will ever come across!
Do you know of any other good `spooky` places around northumberland?
Anything would be great!
