He makes acting look easy but we are sure how hard it must be. His easy style and charisma, not to mention his handsome good looks, make him an actor for all times through all generations. Thanks, James, for allowing us the privilege of watchng your superb performances all of these years.

I watch The Rockford Files every day (almost). A true gentleman and a very entertaining actor.

The Bret Maverick series in the early 80's was pretty good, but a bit tame compared to the original Maverick, and Jim couldn't do the physical work he did when he was younger. Still a good show.

Been a fan of James for a very long time. Didn't like Victor Victoria very much, but I've enjoyed eveything he's ever done.

I became a James Garner fan during the Maverick years. I remained loyal through his movies of the 60's, then Rockford. I still like him today. I think that he deserved thebest actor award for Murphys Romance, and a lifetime award for all of his work. His makes the hard parts look easy. The sign of a Pro.

Very gracious too. You could tell at the end, where the interviewer said he wanted to ask for Garner's thoughts on some of his colleagues, and he was taken aback, worried obviously that he didn't want to speak ill of people he'd had disagreements with.

MAVERICK is a classic western, but I grew up on THE ROCKFORD FILES. That is #1 of my top ten list of shows by Stephen J. Cannell.

I agree. Maybe I'm missing something cuz I've never seen one ep. of Maverick. LOL But I always did like the Files.
