  • Best move, best soundtrack.:) I love TLK.

  • gives me the chills.

  • This 4, who dislike this are Banzai, Shendzi, Ed and Scar

  • 1:43 - 1:48 better view of the rising sun o/

  • hummmmm.. OMG 0_O ...hanz zimmer ur a genius

  • Best part is 1:50 ehh...THE ENTIRE SONG <3

  • Chills! MAJOR chills! I have every note memorized and I still get them. If that's not brilliance, I dunno what is.

  • 0:00 - 0:45 epic part.

  • @PTMTerror Uh, 0:00 to 2:53 epic part.

  • Thank you for this. I've been looking for this score for quite a while.

  • Omg <3

  • Mufasa: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope.

Simba: But dad, don't we eat the antelope?

Mufasa: Yes, Simba. But let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so, we are all connected, in the great circle of life.

  • I was sooo happy that you uploaded the uncut soundtrack of this film because many versions don't give the complete score, including to a track in the film like this, and this is one of my favorites, especially when Simba wakes up his parents, then gets the lessons from his father about being a king.

  • best from 2:25

  • Despite what verulence says in the description, this is not the piece as heard in the movie...there is a little flute variation on the 'Busa' theme where Simba is trying to wake Mufasa up, which is not heard here!

  • Verulence, I noticed that at 1:03 in this track there's supposed to be a flute that plays a nice little fluttery melody, right at the part in the film where Simba's trying to wake up his father, and it's not on this recording. Know what the reason is?

  • @BGadventures Yeah I noticed that too!! The flute bit is a variation on the 'Busa' theme.

  • 4 people were attacked by hyenas.

  • It should be an unofficial rule to parents to make their kids watch these movies.

  • @ukhistorian and there should be an unofficial fee for pearants who make their kids watch garbage

  • cant wait to hear these songs again... in 3-FRICKEN-D!!!!!!

  • amazing how this tune is majestic and mysterious when mufasa is describing their kingdom and yet becomes incredibly mournful in darker scenes without any changes to the music itself.

  • Lion King. Aladin. Original Star Wars Trilogy.

what other mandatory childhood movies are there?

  • I imagine the Mufasa lessons to Simba, Mufasa was an excelent biology teacher too... Professor Mufasa! :D

  • If someone asks me to show them beauty, I will pull up this song.

  • I love it when people quote from The Lion King, I can almost hear Mufasa's voice in my head :3

This is so emotional, I can feel all those warm nostalgic feelings inside me :P

  • Love james earl jones as an actor, couldnt of picked a greater voice for mufasa!!!

  • @TheresaQ93 Even without those tricks that made his voice metalic as Darth Vader, his voice is still imposing.

  • 1:48 onwards is almost physically painful to listen to. I want to listen to it over and over again but I don't want to desensitize myself to its beauty. Stupid brain.

  • can't stop crying right now

  • My friend doesn't know who Darth Vader is, doesn't understand what a lightsaber is, is vastly confused by the plot of Lord of the Rings, hasn't read the Harry Potter series, and hadn't seen Toy Story until her little sister asked to watch it before they went to see Toy Story 3. This is forgivable. But what I absolutely can't believe is that she's never seen the Lion King!! I'm going to have to tie her down and force her to watch it with me.

  • @euterpemuseful Yes you must do that to her,you have to.

  • @euterpemuseful This is all very shocking to me. Except, not reading Harry Potter. I never got into Harry Potter either. But, HOW in the world has your friend not watched The Lion King or Toy Story series??

  • @jojoxx1231 I was so surprised when she told me! Since Toy Story 3 came out, I lent her my old VHS's of Toy Stories 1 and 2 to watch with her sister, but we're still working on Lion King. Maybe I'll get her the BlueRay version for Christmas!

  • OMG this is the most beautiful song i have ever heard since my childhood.

  • 11 years.. and it still makes my heart happy.

  • Am I the only one who can hear "Away In a Manger" at 1:16?

  • @AppleSauceAlex313 So can I!

  • @jackiehallam62 Good. I'm not the only one. :)

  • 145

  • dude put this on

    BeeMp3.com

  • amazing

  • "Your son is calling you."

    "Before sunrise, he's YOUR son..."

    I <3 that part.

  • "Everything we see exists together in a delicate balance. As king, we need to understand that balance, and respect all the creatures, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope."

"But Dad, don't we eat the antelope?"

"Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass....and so, we are all connected in the great Circle of Life."

  • Huh. What's funny is that I just realized at 0:50, this score also plays when Timon says "Gee, he looks blue," and Pumbaa goes "I'd say brownish gold!" :)

  • Where can I download this? This is beautiful!!

  • "what about that shadowy place?"

  • @Phersephoie I'm sorry Simba, I cannot tell you what that is until we produce a pretty shit direct-to-video sequel in a few years time to make some moneyss

  • @pbant25 hahahahahaa...oh, it's the trequell that makes my day! hehe

  • "Look, Simba. Everything the light touches is our kingdom."

    "Wow..."

  • @365ral Lion King 3 or 2 1/2:

Timon's mom: "Look Timon.. Come on, look. Look out to the horizon, past the trees, over the grassland.. everything the light touches.. belongs to someone else"

Timon: "Funny, I thought you were going a whole different direction with this"

  • @TheChaiTeaLatte Yeah and...

Max: We're food for other animals! A movable feast! Feared by no one, and eaten by all!

Timon: But when they die, they become the grass, and we eat the grass, right?

Max: Not exactly. We can't digest grass. We're grass intolerant.

    Lol

  • got the chills and everything

  • ive asked around and it appears TLK is many people`s favorite disney movie, as it is mine!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my opinion, Beauty and the Beast is the 2nd best.

  • 1:50 <3

  • where can i get this?

  • I honestly think this movie, out of all the films in Disney history, is the greatest in terms of musical score. I can't think of a single other disney film that even comes close to the epicness of this one's music

  • How do you get the video to keep replaying by itself? Because I want this song to be left on while I fall asleep.

  • this is what life is about.

  • wait.... yup that was teardrop.

  • its strange. people keep calling Simba's dad "Mufasa". I could have sworn it was "Mustafa". But judging by the number of "Mufasa" references I've seen written on Lion King soundtrack boards, I'll assume I was mistaken.

  • hey do any of you know where to get this cd i looked on ebay kjiji craiglist walmart and hmv

  • @cheeseuh they have the ost on amazon, but I'm not sure if it has these on. There is no track listing. plus it costs like £80

  • yeah

    mp3 ninja

    lit. just bought it

    xx

  • although I'm not a massive fan of Disney, this is easily one of the greatest films ever

  • @mythicdude... You sir, see it how it is.

  • @MythicDude

even though they stole from "Kimba, the white Lion". rip off much?

  • well there are certianly similarities and I'm sure that the people at disney were inspired by Kimba for some parts, The Lion King has a better story. you care more about the characters.

  • Ok now I have to go watch the lion king right now haha =) first movie I have ever seen and by far was the best =]

  • mufassa was brave gentle . firm but fair. i liked that. he should of lived a bit longer

  • i know, just the opposite of his brother, who was smarter than him to be truthful, Mufasa was brave, firm, gentle, fair, Scar was calculating, unforgiving, depressed, and hostile.

  • even as king Scar was like that, it's it's impossible to make Scar truly happy. kinda sad to be honest.

  • scar was not brave. i disagree.

  • i didn't say scar was brave. i said mufasa was. read the sentence properly or don't read it at all, fool.

  • the music from the lion king has so much emotion.....i love it!

  • When I have kids, I will show them these Disney Movies like this and Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast and many more.

  • You would be a terrible parent if you didn't show them. These movies are mandatory.

  • Right. And if they watch HSM, I would ground them.

  • Damn straight!

  • @ukhistorian hsm? ... btw i agree stuff on disney now is crap i will show my kids the good disney these movies are classic and irraplaceable

  • @ukhistorian

I will, too. Especially The Lion King since I grew up with it.

  • i tought this song was "under the stars"...... bit of the same i think....

  • "A king's time as ruler, rises and falls like the sun. One day, Simba, will the sun set down for my time here, and arrive with you as the new king."

    - Mufasa

  • and all this will be mine ...... everything...everything the light toutchs what about that shadowy place......thats beond our borders u must never go there simba.....but i thort a king could do what ever he wants....theres more then been king then getting your way all the time.....theres more

  • 1:45-ahhhhh! epic

  • OMG my favorate lion king song!!!!!!!!!!!!!! next to circle of life :D

  • cmon kings of the past and king of pride rock rule them all...

  • I like 2:09 It's very solemn and powerful.

  • <3 THIS SOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

  • from 1:53 on: its soooooooooooo epic!

    Gänsehaut! (amazing)

  • I prefer the part that starts around 2:32-2:33

  • me too! that my fave tune, ive heard in the osts as well, but diffrent. it always gives me goosebumps

  • Mufasa: at sun rise he's your son

    love the music

  • sorry, but im a besserwisser. Correction: "Before sunrise he's your son!"

  • Hey! Everyone who listens to TLK score!!! I was thinking that I should upload a newer version of it with much higher quality audio. I was just wondering if any of you would want that...

  • YES!! :)

  • WOOOOOOOO!!! my vote is in! i just wish i could find the CD somewhere I could buy it...=(

  • Yes!

  • yes please!! :)

  • @verulence please do

  • @verulence hey i was wondering where you got this version of the score

  • @verulence Yes! I would really like that. I think that you should upload a newer version with higher quality audio.

  • Hans Zimmer is a master <3

  • Thanks for putting this up! I wonder why the music is a bit different from 1:04 to 1:32... maybe this is an earlier version? Oh well, it's still awesome!

  • Usually I find when you buy scores (Though I know this is an unofficial one) some of the pieces of music are different. I've found this with a couple pieces of the Pirates of the Caribbean track for some reason. Its strange, but yes, still awesome! XD

  • I'm pretty sure this is how it is in the movie (excluding any volume issues that I fixed). I went back forth from the movie and the distorted audio samples to make sure I resampled it in the right pitch. I don't know... maybe I'm wrong. It was long time a go @_@

  • It is similar for the most part, just at 1:04 I think there is an extra flute part in the movie (right as Simba is running inside the rock around the other lions), but it's back to normal by the time they go back outside at 1:32. Either way, it's still a great piece of music!

  • Yes. There's also another change in "This Is My Home", in the film there's an extra beat to match Simba's foot touching down on the dead land after the "Busa" desert segment.

  • @EternalDragonBall Ah, I hadn't noticed that before, but you're right!

  • @sarenea I think that's because this isn't "This Land", it sounds a lot more like "Once and Future King".

  • @sapphire200182 Oh, it's alright we figured it out. It was just the extra instrumentation that isn't in a few seconds of this version, but other than that it's as it is in the movie. :)

  • Thank you. So much.

  • 1:52 Epic

  • lion king should have been as long as Princess mononoke

  • I loooove The Lion King! Such a awesome movie that shall live in all of our hearts forever! =^__^=

  • This is magnificently beautiful!

  • Me too, I remember a lot of people who saw that film with me when I was only a kid...

  • Every time I hear this song I kinda wanna cry lol.

  • By the way, I really like the pan flute in the end.

  • Thank you, for putting this up here. 5 Stars. It's really beautiful.

  • every light touches is our kingdom

  • This melody gives me BIG chills! I love the Lion King and the music! The best Disney film ever! :-D

  • same

  • Hans Zimmer is the God...

  • he really is :D

  • I hope they'll play the Lion king soundtrack in the beyond.

  • its so nice. I love it.

  • This is the best version ever. I love it. So peaceful and great. LOVE IT!!!

  • I trust that you have been asked this many times but,how did you manage to come accross the complete score?

    Simply beautiful.

  • who performed this?

  • Hans Zimmer

  • this is the music that takes real talent to make. These types of composers should be where retards like lil wayne and 50 cent are.

  • lol i love it when simba keeps on repeating "dad" n the movie..this music is awesome!! GO HANS ZIMMER!!!!!!

  • agreed :3

  • This music is unbelievable. There is so much emotion in the Lion King soundtrack, and this song brings out the best of Hans Zimmer.

The whole score does, but this does a very good job of it.

  • I love this song! thank you for posting! ^_^

  • i've been searching forever to find this theme!!Thank u so much, verulence!!!!

  • So beautiful, Hans Zimmer is the master! I wish they would re-release the complete score

  • best song ever. thanks for posting it
