@almazrouei30000 i downloaded it directly from google on the mobile web browsers, not through the appworld. it takes a bit of searching but you might be able to find it at m.google.com on your phone.
@suprafan246 there is a risk of bricking your phone during the install process but in doing mine, and 2 friends, they have all been fine. just take it step by step and dont rush it.
@badrmasri Hmm, sounds like you didnt back up the applications into the apploader before you upgraded firmware.. it probably wont restore from a previous backup as its OS5 and now you are on OS6.
I guess the only option is try and remember which apps you had installed.. and re-download them from Appworld!!
@doovydoo Not even that so much; the music player and battery life is HUGE for me. I used my Bold for about 4 days on one charge with above average use (BBM , Music, youtube, etc)
I see no reason to upgrade my phone for a while now
@rohane21 hey unfortunately the links I used to download the OS are now broken from the site I used, there are many available if you type 'bold 9700 os6 download' on google. (copyright issues on youtube too)
I did not have to delete the vendor XML file on the windows computer beforehand, this may have something to do with the computer never being used before for any blackberry software or communication with the device, desktop manager wasnt even installed, only the apploader that came with OS 6
Guys dontforget blackberry have released official version checkon their website

can you share the link to the os? and did you have to delete the vendor XML file before you updated or did you just upgrade as usual?
