10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you
An atheist's moral code is the correct moral code (and not mere opinion) because they say so, and everyone who disagrees is "illogical" and "delusional"...because they say so.
Atheists don't need evidence to support their moral code because it's "common sense," based on (their opinion of) right and wrong, including (their opinion of) what that entails. Atheist Ayn Rand says self-centeredness is good, but atheist Chris Hitchens says that it's evil.
@YoBravaFrumAnuvaMuva Atheists have no set 'moral code' to follow, Atheism is just the disbelief in religion. Unlike religions, there are no other encompassing rules, guidelines or beliefs; that's for an individual to decide for themselves what they believe to be right and wrong. Atheists, as such, have very differing opinions on EVERYTHING else other than that there is no God.
@Toadsanime TAA has a video on morality called "The End of Morality and The Anarchy of the Soul." He advocates a non-moral position, suggesting that the root of morality is social control. Social Control is unnecessary according to him.
He doesn't really say what replaces morality or what mechanism is used to ensure healthy social behavior. I think that question is very much left up to the viewer to ponder.
@UniversalPotentate I'm unsure what applies to him, that's just TJ and I don't agree with everything he says just because we're both Atheists. I for one do have what I'd call a strict moral code of my own and my morals mean a lot to me.
@Toadsanime I agree. I operate on an "ethics" principle as opposed to a "moral" principle. Ethics, in my definition, work in real life. They treat others fairly while allowing you to grow and defend yourself.
Once established they are rigid but can be shown to be in need of change, like scientific theories. ... contintued ...
@UniversalPotentate Ethics may be a more appropriate way of describing my way of thinking too then. And indeed, it's changable in certain circumstances.
I think what TBFAM misses is that the same intellect that draws you to a the conclusion of atheism is the same intellect that allows us to create our own value system. If you have intellect, a religion is not needed.
How can anyone take the guy in the video seriously? He's so condenscending and prideful.
The truth is God is real. Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Life, and the ONLY way the Father. Jesus is Bread of Life. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
You should humble yourself as a little child, pray, and seek God's face. God is awesome beyond words. But pride hinders a lot of people. Pride is detestable. Pride caused Satan to fall.
@Lulzalutioners Think? I know God is real. He has done many miracles in my life. He is awesome beyond words.
Jesus said if you seek you will find. Knock and the door will be opened. Ask and you will receive. Sadly, most people don't seek God's face nor want to really know Him.
@vizion24 Well that's all well and good but you see I can not use what you say as evidence, for example there are thousands of people today on this earth who will sincerely tell you that they saw and sometimes were abducted by aliens, and I doubt you believe that.
If god comes to me any time soon and explains to me that he's real then I will probably first think I have schizophrenia but perhaps if he would disclose himself to thousands at the same time then I would believe until then, nope.
@Lulzalutioners Actually, I do believe people's accounts of alien abductions. I just don't think they are really aliens nor abductions. I think they are caused by demons.
UFOlogists Joe Jordan has documented that hundreds of people have stopped 'abductions' by calling on the name and authority of Jesus Christ.
If it quacks like a duck....
Satan has blinded the minds of many people so they won't believe in the Truth and the Light who is Jesus Christ.
@vizion24 But he knew in advance, since he is omniscient. Why would god knowingly create me sick, and order me to be well and If I don't he will send me to hell for his own mistake? This doesn't seem to be fair at all.
@vizion24 I mean why would an all loving god send me to hell and allow death and destruction to ravage the earth for thousands of years? Just to test us? He doesn't have to do that since he's omniscient, does he simply enjoy seeing people suffer?
But I don't have free will, if I chose one thing, I get hell, if I chose Jesus I get to go to heaven. There is no free will here there's simply a man pointing a gun at me telling me that I have free will to chose if I give him money or not.
@vizion24: BTW back the they had no clue about mental illness. Therefor idiot monkeys might believe some person with a mental illness and hears voices. If this same person said, they saw a magical elf that grants wishes to all the good people but the bad people get send to a dark black dimension, you would be following that today.
@vizion24: *face palm* idiot. Also, lets just say in another dimension they believe that such and elf exists and those who die get their wishes granted. Lets say that you come to this dimension, and you tell them about this "god" they'd think you're crazy right? Not lets bring you back to our dimension, and bring one of these people into ours. Would everyone think this guy is crazy? Yup. it's the same thing. It's still crazy, there is no god, science has proven that. We have gotten
@vizion24: smarter over the years about that, all major empires move away from some religion one time or another.. Maybe later some crazy mentally ill person will have us believe that we were all created by some magical space elf, and that he will take us to planet X when we die, were all there is, is happy rainbows and everything we enjoy in life. Then someone will prove that is wrong too..
Sorry my iPad sent the first one by accident. You give atheists a bad name. You're so mean and hateful and you can't give an argument without being offensive and it's immature. You should be ashamed. To me, your "argument" doesn't persuade me. You need something better to do with your time.
The thing is I'm already more than well aware of pretty much everything you mentioned. The bible has certainly altered who knows how many times to fit the agenda of the Church or whoever at the time. Faith in general whether it's Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc, will be illogical and not scientifically sound. Personally, though, I don't claim that my Christian faith is the 100% absolute truth. I don't think that you have to be a Christian either. It's totally fine if you're an atheist.
@Vaajraath Atheism, Christianity, religion in general, I think that we're all just trying to come to some understanding of this massive and mysterious universe that we live in, how we came to be and what our purpose is. Everyone has their own take on all these mysteries. Mine may be through Christianity, yours may be through Atheism, another person may find it through Buddhism. And just because I'm Christian today, doesn't mean it's a lifetime obligation.
@Vaajraath If someday down the line I feel that Islam, Atheism, Buddhism, etc makes more sense to me I'll adjust my faith accordingly. In the meantime, I don't isolate myself in Christianity and ignore the rest of the beliefs in the world today. I actually enjoy learning about other religions and their belief systems, about The Big Bang Theory and the Theory of Evolution. Just because, I'm Christian doesn't mean that I dismiss everything else as absolutely wrong.
@Vaajraath I think that they all have valid points and all deserve to be equally respected. Just because something doesn't make sense to me, you, or anyone doesn't make it wrong. It's just a different point of view. There's so much out there that we don't know and may never actually know, but I think that each of us has a sort of "piece to the puzzle". Most of the time today it seems that people will horde their piece to themselves.
@Vaajraath They'll say that their piece is better or more correct than everyone else, try to belittle the pieces that others have, and/or try to make others give up their piece to come and join a group that has another piece. I find this sad because in reality none of these pieces are superior or more correct. If people could just set their egos and petty differences aside and put the pieces together, I think that they would be surprised at what they would find.
@noofatchiks Well I know plenty of Christians and as far as I know, none of them have WBC levels of hatred for homosexuality. Between the infuriating self righteous religious fundamentalists telling us that we are going to hell and the infuriating self righteous zealot atheists telling us that nothing awaits us after death, I'd rather just seperate myself from the eternal shitstorm going on between the two.
I have to add that the jews wandered in the desert for 40 years because they were MADE to, not because it was necesary. They sinned, and were punished. Even I, an atheist, remember this from Sunday School.
I don't understand why people won't believe in God. There is nothing bad about believing in God. The bible has made predictions, and it has never been wrong. Unlike many, if not all other religions and beliefs, etc. that have also made predictions but have been wrong at least once.
@frostyh81 the bible says the earth is flat and that illness is caused by demonic posession and that the moon and sun move. people don't believe in God because there is not a shred of evidence and not everyone is gullible enough to believe in immaginary all knowing all powerful gods or crap like that
@cappapagoooo Doesn't the moon revolve around the earth? And doesn't the sun move a little every year or something? People have been and can be possessed by demonic things. Anyway, if you want to argue go talk with a true christian, as I am not.
@frostyh81 right i didn't mean to mention the moon. point is the earth is not flat the sun does not orbit the earth illness is caused by bacteria and viruses the earth was not created in 7 days evolution is a fact and the bible is a bunch of bullshit written by ancient mother f*ckers in a pre-science society and it should not be taken more seriously than a fairytale should be
@cappapagoooo I could say evolution is bullshit and the bible is fact. You know the bible says anger is a sin, and it also says God got angry at someone or some people or something, fact is He got furious. How does that work? If God is perfect, how could he sin? I don't understand, YOU don't understand. People who don't believe in Jesus are soo much more vile, cruel, vulgar and just I don't want to be like them. The christians I know are so joyful, so happy, nothing can tear them down.
@frostyh81 you'd be WRONG. evolution is a fact it has more evidence to support it than gravity. atheists are the ones that DON 'T feel smugly superior and that don't feel like they're in posession of the truth when it comes to the creation of the universe and they don't say that if you don't accept their beliefs you'll burn for eternity in hell. not only that but they're close-minded people I'd much rather be surrounded by atheist than by brain washed christians
@cappapagoooo Evolution is a theory. It cannot be proven, you can theorize but you can't actually say that the earth is all the resulf of the big bang, you can believe it; just like you can believe in God. This guy "theamzingatheist' seems pretty smug to me. And saying you're gonna go to hell for not believing in God (and actually believing it) is like saying a murdered is gonna spend their life in jail. atheists think of of themselves usually, the bible is suppose to teach others to be selfless
@frostyh81 it has been. sorry but it's a fact. it's 100% sure. when it comes to the big bang it is not 100%certain but I'd still take the theory of the top minds in america over some priests who wanted to control the gullible masses 2000 years ago's word. theamazingatheist's smugness has nothing to do with his atheist position, the only thing that you can infer from someone's atheist position is that they don't believe in God oh and the bible says people should stone the gays to death you know
@cappapagoooo You only think it's true because of what scientists learn from other scientists, that sounds promsing. . . How is that any different from how christians are learning from one book? You and they have not seen the big bang, as you and I have not seen Christ. The bible says a lot of things. I don't think the bible was written in english though, and every translation is not 100% accurate. How many times must I tell you, YOU and I as well as this fatty don't UNDERSTAND the bible. .
@frostyh81 the book is thousands of years old, it's stories are unreliastic and WRONG we know how earthquakes and rain takes place. it's not god it's plate tectonics and condensation. if a good portion of the bible is bullshit why do you still take it seriously? the claims of priests in a pre-science society are as reliable as the claims of modern science? anybody with a brain is skeptic and doesn't just accept these claims with no evidence to support them cos they're shoved down their throats
@cappapagoooo Unrealistic? The bible does have supernatural stories, as God is a supernatural being. How do you know it's not God shifting the plate tectonics? How do you know it's not God bringing the wind to push the clouds together so tightly they create so much moisture it takes the form of rain. I never said ANY part of the bible is bullshit, where the hell did you get that from? I do believe God is watching over you, as he is watching over me.
@frostyh81 they move because of the geodynamic mechanism... why am I even discussing this with you? you're an idiot. did you even watch the video above? it lists the reasons why a bunch of the things it says in the bible are horse shit. Until god is proved to exist he does not. otherwise people would be making all sorts of crazy claims like "the universe was created by dolphins" and it would be accepted as fact until you can DISprove it? don't make me laugh
@cappapagoooo You make a valid point, "we only know what we've been told so 2 ÷ 2 could be 6 for all we know". I like how you, an athiest, is the first to shout insults. And how do you know it's not God creating the geodynamic mechanism? Actually, if I remember correctly God left the earth to be ruled by Satan. So I guess really it'd be Satan creating all that geodynamic mechanism (if I remember correctly).
@cappapagoooo Also, you said "until God is proven to exist he does not". So then when God is proven to exist does that mean he hasn't existed before he was proven? NO, that would mean that He HAS ALWAYS EXISTED DISPITE NOT HAVE BEEN PROVEN BEFORE. (I'm not shouting, 'caps lock' just has that stern tone about it)
@cappapagoooo Ha, "odds are" who's making these odds, you??? In case you havn't noticed, the world is increasing becoming a more and more unstable, unpredictable, unstoppable. Population reaching 7 billion soon, tsunamis earthquakes wildfires volcano eruptions war economy downfall. Just about everything in the world is growing at a dangerous rate. "It is estimated that 4 exabytes (4.0x10^19) of unique information will be generated this year. That is more than the previous 5,000 years."
@frostyh81 what are you on about? anyway yeah common sense tells us that if no-one has been able to cook up some evidence for the existance of god 'till now then he's immaginary
@cappapagoooo There is evidence, it's up to you to believe it and experience it or not. You are in a sense asking people to combine robots and ghosts. Two completely different things. It'll take a long time. What I'm saying is a lot more, A LOT MORE is happening in todays world that the world of 10, 20, 30, 40 years ago. 5,000 years ago people weren't finding or gaining or learning information as fast as people today are; which means it's still very possible to find evidence and stuff of Jesus
@cappapagoooo Apparently I can't give any evidence since you won't believe it because you believe what theamazingatheists said instead. Just google it. I will say, if you ever feel like there is something missing in your life, missing in your heart, and you just can't fill it no matter what you do, it's God that can fill what's missing. (That is provided you do feel you're missing something).
@cappapagoooo you keep going on about evidence, but not everything we believe &/or live by has evidence. There are other ways of knowing things, & if you were to only live your life by "evidence" there is precious little you could believe in. If you want to live by evidence, you need to realize there is quite a lot you take for granted, which you personally don't have any evidence for, & yet you accept the testimony of others on these things. You take quite a lot of things in your life on faith.
@theantihero420 like the truth about how the universe came to be? and do I force the few acticles of faith I have on other people? epecially when my faith is in something that has been proved to be a failed hypothesis? if I say that I have faith that rocks are intelligent beings that's when you, as a reasonable individual say "hey that's not true to be alive something must carry out all life processes such as respiration, reproduction, it has to respond to stimuli and it requires nutrition ect"
@cappapagoooo You are arguing that there is no God (which is is a faith based belief) and proclaiming that everyone who disagrees with your belief is wrong. If you sit there and claim that you do no know what caused the universe to come into existence, but you know it is not God (which you cannot know unless you have proof to the contrary) then you are taking the belief there is no God on faith. You are in fact, trying to force your beliefs, that which you take on faith, onto others.
@theantihero420 proclaiming everyone who is theist to be wrong is a proclamation based on evidence. the fact that I do not believe in the deist God is the stance of not believing in something that has not met it's burden of proof and not accepting claims that haven't met their burden of proof is a good thing. otherwise people would believe in everything without requiring proof. I wouldn't be an atheist anymore if there was substantal evidence (that stood up to scrutiny) for the deist hypothesis.
@cappapagoooo lol, no, Macro-evolution is not 100% sure. No scientific theory can be 100% sure, because science is inductive, meaning at any time new evidence could come along and completely destroy the theory as it stands, either forcing it to be rewritten, or completely scrapped for a new theory. I believe that the Big bang DID occur. BUT, even if one grants the theory of macro evolution as 100% true,
& stands by the theory of the big bang, that still wouldn't negate the need for a creator!
@theantihero420 but not being able to disprove something isn't and never has been a compelling reason to believe in it. also you are arguing for the deist god whilst I was arguing against the christian one and look at the title of the video it isn't the case against deism
@cappapagoooo 1st, I'm not arguing that just because you can't disprove God means we should believe in God. I am saying that there are many compelling reasons to believe that God exists. 2nd, I am not arguing for a deist conception of God. You are arguing that there is no evidence for God, I am arguing that pointing towards a evolution and the big bang does nothing to dismiss the need for a creator. I am establishing that there's a need for a creator, but that doesn't mean my beliefs stop there
@theantihero420 pointing out that the notions of the bible are wrong (the notion of man not evolving from primates and natural selection not taking place) makes the centrestone of the religion fall apart and shows the religion is fallacious. it may not disprove the deist god but it does disprove the theist one. your need for a creator would just leave you with an infinite regress, who created the creator? and if he created himself why can't the universe which surely exists have created itself?
@cappapagoooo first, I am not sure where in the Bible you are meaning, but there is no mention of evolution in Scripture at all, and the fact that there are theists who believe in evolution and natural selection shows that it is not incompatible with theism, therefore your claim that the centrestone (I think you mean capstone?) of Christianity fails is just a false claim. Second, Christianity does not rise or fall on evolution, it is centered on the person of Jesus Christ.
@theantihero420 the bible is the foundation of christianity and it says that God created the world in 6 days 10,000 years ago. The world was not created in 6 days, 10,000 years ago, so the Bible is wrong. If the world were merely 10,000 years old then what about the dinosaurs that are millions of years old? We've discovered fossils that date back billions of years. Even the skeletons of modern humans date back before the time of Adam and Eve. bible = wrong. hence christianity = also bullshit
@cappapagoooo lol, your lack of understanding is astounding. First, where in the Bible does it say that the world is 10,000 years old? I would like to examine this passage for myself... Second, if you examine the actual structure of Genesis chapter 1 in it original context,, you would understand that this is a poem meant to describe God as creator. It was not and is not a scientific description of the creation of the world, & therefore your attempt to take it as such is a category error.
@theantihero420 it says it just read the damn thing it's full of innaccuracies whether they be geographical, historical (or scientific in this case) and rightfully so it was written in a pre-science society before people actually knew the earth was spherical and that the sun didn't orbit the earth but the other way around. how can the god a bunch of people, (who thought illness was caused by demonic posession) ((once again read it up in the bible)) cooked up be real? you superstitious nut
@cappapagoooo I think this will be the end of our conversation, because you can't even support your claims & instead resort to name calling & saying, "its there, just read it!" I HAVE read the Bible, & it does not say anywhere that the earth was X amount of years old. It seems to me YOU have never actually read the Bible & are just spewing the same garbage you have hear other atheists before you say. BTW, It is illogical of you to think that the universe is eternal when Science says otherwise.
@cappapagoooo also, on a point I meant to make earlier before I had class earlier but was unable to because my internet was messing up, is that God is not self created, He is eternal. The universe cannot be self created, because to do so, it would have to exist in order to create itself. If it already existed, it would not need to create itself. If you want to claim that the universe is eternal, you are going against what modern cosmology shows us (that the universe is finite).
/watch?v=WHtxnIkzros watch this and accept that it holds as much water as a spaghetti strainer
we can prove the universe exists so wouldn't it be more logical to say that the universe(something we can pretty much prove exists) was always there in some form? once again: there is no evidence for God, hence faith, the default for not having proof to support crazy claims like invisible dieties
This is one of the instances where the English translation is not exactly the same as the original Hebrew texts. The only thing is imperfect is the Engrish translators.
his attempts at philosophical arguments utterly fail to provide a cogent argument. The rock to big for God to move argument is irrelevant, because it is a logically contradictory action. It doesn't make sense to expect God to be able to do logically contradictory actions, in the same sense that a square circle doesn't make sense. If you want to include among the category of "Omnipotent" the ability to perform logically contradictory things, then it doesn't matter, because God could do both.
@xxESPx lol, all you have said is foolishness my friend. You have said nothing of any value, and your comment in no way contributes to this conversation. I would suggest you attempt to contribute to the conversation, and keep your ad hominem comments to yourself.
Actually I responded to your retarded comment and you got angry. And you obviously don't know the definition of ad hominem, so don't try to use words to sound intelligent that you don't know the meaning of.
@xxESPx Not mad, merely showing that instead of refuting or engaging any of my arguments, u instead state that I have no reason to point out logical fallacies in other peoples arguments, because my belief in theism is itself a logical fallacy. U are calling into question the integrity of my beliefs while ignoring my arguments. Ad hominem is attacking your opponents character (in this case my beliefs) rather than his arguments. This is exactly what you did, and as I pointed out, it is of no value
"Most modern Christians even support the theory of evolution" FALSE!
Later he states "the all but proven theory of evolution, & I mean as proven as say, gravity..." This is also a blatantly false statement. 1st, there are many problems with a definition of Evolution that when boiled down, states that every form of life evolved from something non-living. 2nd, Gravity is a scientific law, whereas Evolution is merely a theory. This theory of evolution is not & cannot become a law. Why? no proof!
Further more, later in the same video where he said "Most modern Christians even support the theory of evolution" he makes the statement, "of course, many Christians don't believe in evolution because it contradicts the Bible,"
@theantihero420: Saying that most MODERN christians support the theory of evolution and saying that many christians don't believe in evolution is correct and not a contradiction.
@Trampadoo l guess it depends on your definitions of the ambiguous terms "Many" and "Most." The way I understand them, "most" refers to the largest numerical quantity of a group, and "many" is a large number of them. Now, if most Christians (the largest quantity of Christians) support the theory of evolution, that in my mind doesn't leave room for a large number of them to disbelieve in it, since the largest number do. You can still be right, but what about my other problems with this video?
@theantihero420: Yeah, but you completely ignored that he said modern christians, e.g. he defined a group within the whole of christianity and then stated that most MODERN christians support the theory of evolution. ;)
@Trampadoo maybe you are right, and he meant modern for the one argument, and then was referring to the whole of Christianity for the other. (though I find it absurd to say that Christians who had never heard of Darwin's theory rejected it, or that you can know the beliefs of Christians from times past when we do not have the kind of data needed to support such a claim.) Regardless, this is a minor point among many points that I made against this video. What say you to my other objections?
I didn't read many of the comments, it was late (I'm in Germany) and I couldn't be bothered. Was that about whether life can come from nothing? Personally I am happy with us working on the question and the fact that we don't know everything yet. Not knowing how the puzzle ended up on the table doesn't refute the solving of most of the puzzle. The idea of a creator is just such a typical idea of humans who couldn't deal with not knowing much and now still not knowing everything.
@Trampadoo I disagree that the reason most posit God as Creator because they can't deal with not knowing. It is perfectly logical to posit God as a creator, and I have no problem with not knowing things. also, by saying that you happy with not knowing and working on the puzzle, what you are in essence saying is that you reject the possibility that God created the universe a priori, and will continue to claim ignorance until you can come up with a naturalistic explanation. this stance is naive
It is also perfectly logical for me to assume that the pink unicorn created the universe.
As for the idea of god creating the universe: there is no evidence whatsoever that something like a god exist which would make the idea that the universe was created by a god just because we don't know yet how it all started (but have a pretty good idea how the planets, galaxies etc. formed) even more absurd. I might as well consider the idea that the pink unicorn created the universe.
@theantihero420 umm u need to go back to a science class gravity is just a theory. evolution is merely a theory? well ill give you the definition of a theory...Theory, hypothesis are used in non-technical contexts to mean an untested idea or opinion. A theory in TECHNICAL use is a more or less verified or established explanation accounting for known facts or phenomena: the theory of relativity.
2. evolution is a FACT religious nut cases are the ones that have kept you ignorant. only 'human' evolution is a theory and that is only because of religion
@AthenaPoseidon I am in no way denying the fact that species adapt to their environment and change in order to better survive in said environment. I am denying the theory that many species have evolved from one form of life into another species altogether. This is in no way proven, and there is a considerable amount of justified skepticism as to whether life can come from non-life, which is needed if you believe that everything came from nothing, that is, that there is no intelligent creator.
Only evidence is evidence: to a forensic scientist lack of evidence does not mean something didnt happen. Therefore in the same since it is not lack of evidence that prevents God from exsisting better; prevents man from acknowledging his exisistance. If science is the only arbitor of truth then then the past (unless documented) is not evidence without recolection from the beholder, you have not beheld therfore you can not confirm nor deny do to the lack of evidence. Matthew 13:1-9
Evolutionary opinion not debatable. Fowl H5775 Flying Creature. Bat H5874 Thing you shouldn't eat. Job 26:7 states It hangs on nothing. Isaiah 40:22 states the Earth is indeed round; a circle. Genesis 7:11 does not mention rain. Israel pushed through over 8 different tribes including the Amlekites. God could create a dick so big your ass couldn't take it.
Jeremiah 3:12 God says his anger did not fall upon Israel. Strong H5769
Anger forever as opposed to H6440 angry two totally different hebrew words. (John 17:17, Psalms 119:160,John 16:13)Round Earth Isaiah 40:22. Not all evolution is fact (microevolution is) Divorce was for unrighteous exchanges of marriage; uncleanness is H6172 which is talking about sex and marriage explained in Deuteronomy 22:13-21
@trinitycreed1993 You are nothing more then another religious nut who looks down upon people dont believe what you believe or people who are critical of your beliefs. And the only reponse you give is quoting scriptures. You are no better then the atheists who you criticize.
The "could God create a dick so big his ass couldn't take it" shit has ben used against me to "show how human logic is shit"...I think it just shows how idiotic is to believe in an omnipowerful god.
@ThePhilipgg After looking up the verses he has taken it a tiny bit out of context but there are many reasons to attack Christianity. Christianity for all the good it has done it is counterbalanced by the bad it has done. The blind refusal from the pope to African women pleading to be able to use protective means for sex to not contract HIV is disgusting. Witch Trails. Crusades. Spanish Inquisition, Pro Slavery, Fighting between factions within Christianity the list can go on and on and on...
@trinitycreed1993 Ok. First I am 39 yrs old. Born into a Christian family of mostly pastor & chefs. I took Iesus Christ as my lord and savior b4 I was ten. Exactly when? Been over 30yrs & I can't remember. The penalty is never paid. The sin always exists on the books. All sin has been paid for by Jesus on the cross. All. And no, before you start, I'm not a universalist, as I believe that those without faith in Christ will spend eternity in hell, not as punishment, but of their own choice. Bless.
@AZASN8SHUN And if you were born into a Muslim family you'd be a Muslim. Your point?
Oh wait, you don't have one. You're a grow man, coming close to middle age, and you still believe in fairy tales about an evil God who lies to his creations and treats them like utter shit for things that are completely his fault.
@andromidius And your point is exactly? That's right. Nothing. You just decided to attack someone you know you'll never EVER meet in real life BEHIND the safety of your computer. I bet you do that in your car too. But if I seen you in real life you wouldn't have nothing to say. We got an ancient word for people JUST like YOU. Pussy.
@AthenaPoseidon I don't what side of this you're on, but if you happen to be a person of any faith you have studying up to do.
1. You just passed judgment on me. What does that say about your chances of getting into heaven? &
2. If you really understand the bible, you should know that if I don't get in. You don't get in.
3. If you're NOT a person of faith then, disregard all of that & I'll just say that I gave up on gettin in long ago coz while I am not a murder, I know there's no way for me
@AZASN8SHUN That is so against what the NT actually says. The synoptic gospels state heavily that heaven and hell are a meritocracy (Matt 19:29). Your status in heaven is dictated by how much you give away in this life, and your demise in hell is dictated by your level of sin (Matt 5:29). But the synoptic ideas of heaven and hell are different to what Paul and John say, because they don't mention hell at all. If all sin has been paid for, you can ignore Matthew. Oh, you are! Different religion?
@jamesbonq That's the problem with religion. No matter what. Two ppl will just never EVER fully agree about it. In real life I tell my friends that both Religion & Politics are off the table. Why? Because of this exact mayhem happenning online. What do you do when you go to church or bible study? Nothin. We don't tend to correct our Pastor or get into it like this in church or bible study (might be a bit more liberal coz the Pastor usually isn't there).
@trinitycreed1993 Really? I believe it was me who ended with "Let us pray." Why couldnt YOU leave it then? Wasnt that a perfectly CHRISTIAN way to end things? 1st, if the bible is your sword then you need to learn to wield it at the right foe. I am on your side, but you are blinded by the hatred that brought you to this page in the first place. 2nd, You're not that righteous. If so how would you percieve someone else acting JUST LIKE YOU on here. 3rd, you don't even know THE truth? Only a truth.
@AZASN8SHUN At the end of the day. Iehovah bless you. I know your heart is in the right place & that is more than I can say for many. I will not carry this on. What do you need to feel victorious? Name it & I will supply it.
@trinitycreed1993 Think on this. How did I SPECIFICALLY ME. Attack you or your faith? Furthermore I didnt ASK anything I merely attempted an answer & you rejected it. Fine. Then, you went on the offensive with the insults "...then deny yourself living and existing." (Giving a very negative command here). Now "I assume you're a heathen, ..." Those are all your assumptions & JUDGMENTS. I need not correct you for Romans 12:19-21 Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." Let us pray.
@trinitycreed1993 You speak of definition. Define SPIRIT. You quote these verses but have ye done your due diligence? Reading & praying is not enuff & you have no excuses now as you apparently have access to the internet if you even know what it really is. What its original name is, what its original purpose is, & how it relates to the bible. If you do know these things then why are you (the GOOD Christian) on here ATTACKING ppl? I did not use hurtful words but attempted to answer a question.
@trinitycreed1993 1st off, never said I wasn't Christian & never said I was an aetheist. My basic point which was missed is that if something (anything) IS created then at the exact same instant something else isnt. That's a fact & happens to be science. I don't discard science because of faith. I know that the bible condones & not condemns it. 1Thes.5:21 Prove ALL things. Hold fast to that which is good. Just as David told Saul he couldnt use the sword & sheild as they were not proven by him.
Why do people always attack the christain faith? This tard certainly wouldnt do it to the jewish, probably is himself. Whatever way,and whatever religion i think there still is a god, personal opinion. But the way this guy trys to make religion out to be so and so is pathetic, like when he was pointing out about the reasons its 'bullshit' he's just talking shit to get 5 points. He can have his opinion about it but its just the way he uses his own opinion and makes it out to be fact, that is sly.
@trinitycreed1993 Let me take a crack at it as I am new to this fray. Let's apply the scientific method or basically the application of a basic law. "For every action there is an equal & opposite reaction." Based on this law, by context IF a thing is created it stands to reason that another is not. Think about it. In ALLLLLLLLLLLLL of existence as big as it is IF everything that could be created ever was eventually even existence itself would fill up. So in theory death & non-creation are needed
As TJ said, "reality doesn't conform to our wishes" and people can wish all they want that this isn't the truth. But the truth is always stranger than fiction, and as we continue to uncover more truths about ourselves. As we continue to debunk things that maybe as early as only a year, or a few months ago that we "knew" to be a fact, we will continue to move past the bullshit our ancestors "knew" was true, and there will always be those who don't want to move past it, or with it.
So, if the Bible was true, at all, then none of this should exist, or have happened. We should not have lived and existed at a time where there were other intelligent beings who were capable of learning, and having language, and everything we think that seperates us from the rest of the animals.
We had artwork, we had wars, and tribes, and politics, we also used basic scientific-method. While neanderthals were all about Europe (and they were eventually bred into our African-ape ancestors, creating our European ancestors, ancient Nords especially showed signs of very ancient evolutionary interbreeding), barely living in anything resembling a society. Our African ancestors had trade-routes, religion, art, and quite possibly some form of language, over 150,000 years ago.
There is plenty of evidence for my point, we know how human beings are created now, we know so much more than people even 1 hundred years ago knew it is astounding, some of us are godlike to bronze age people by contrast to then and now. Religion and ancient philosophy are products of the most ignorant times in human history, and recent evidence shows that our evolutionary ancestors, and our cousins, the neanderthal (and their cousins) co-existed in and around Africa, we had trade-routes..
@trinitycreed1993, You ask for someone to prove inexistence, well, I'll cite Mark Twain here "I was dead billions of years before I was born, I imagine I won't mind it much now"
You were not you before you were a sperm floating into the womb, you were a recently created sperm. One that might have been discharged and/or died off like hundreds of millions of your "brothers and sisters." "Inexistance" isn't something to be proven, it's something that is or isn't. God + an afterlife, must be proven
@trinitycreed1993 We go to the same place other living things go when they die: inexistance. You can't make someone Believe something Using Threats, bro.

Who's moral? Both! ...because they say so.
YoBravaFrumAnuvaMuva 3 weeks ago
@YoBravaFrumAnuvaMuva Atheists have no set 'moral code' to follow, Atheism is just the disbelief in religion. Unlike religions, there are no other encompassing rules, guidelines or beliefs; that's for an individual to decide for themselves what they believe to be right and wrong. Atheists, as such, have very differing opinions on EVERYTHING else other than that there is no God.
Toadsanime 2 weeks ago
@Toadsanime TAA has a video on morality called "The End of Morality and The Anarchy of the Soul." He advocates a non-moral position, suggesting that the root of morality is social control. Social Control is unnecessary according to him.
He doesn't really say what replaces morality or what mechanism is used to ensure healthy social behavior. I think that question is very much left up to the viewer to ponder.
Your thoughts? :)
UniversalPotentate 1 week ago
@UniversalPotentate I'm unsure what applies to him, that's just TJ and I don't agree with everything he says just because we're both Atheists. I for one do have what I'd call a strict moral code of my own and my morals mean a lot to me.
Toadsanime 1 week ago
@Toadsanime I agree. I operate on an "ethics" principle as opposed to a "moral" principle. Ethics, in my definition, work in real life. They treat others fairly while allowing you to grow and defend yourself.
Once established they are rigid but can be shown to be in need of change, like scientific theories. ... contintued ...
UniversalPotentate 1 week ago
@UniversalPotentate Ethics may be a more appropriate way of describing my way of thinking too then. And indeed, it's changable in certain circumstances.
Toadsanime 6 days ago
@Toadsanime
I think what TBFAM misses is that the same intellect that draws you to a the conclusion of atheism is the same intellect that allows us to create our own value system. If you have intellect, a religion is not needed.

Sadly, most people don't seek God's face nor want to really know Him.
vizion24 1 month ago
@vizion24 Well that's all well and good but you see I can not use what you say as evidence, for example there are thousands of people today on this earth who will sincerely tell you that they saw and sometimes were abducted by aliens, and I doubt you believe that.
If god comes to me any time soon and explains to me that he's real then I will probably first think I have schizophrenia but perhaps if he would disclose himself to thousands at the same time then I would believe until then, nope.
Lulzalutioners 1 month ago
@Lulzalutioners Actually, I do believe people's accounts of alien abductions. I just don't think they are really aliens nor abductions. I think they are caused by demons.
UFOlogists Joe Jordan has documented that hundreds of people have stopped 'abductions' by calling on the name and authority of Jesus Christ.
If it quacks like a duck....
Satan has blinded the minds of many people so they won't believe in the Truth and the Light who is Jesus Christ.
vizion24 1 month ago
@vizion24 Right okay, I see. So why would god create Satan in the first place if he knew that he was going to blind the minds of people like me?
Lulzalutioners 1 month ago
@Lulzalutioners To test people if they will choose Satan and the world or Jesus, perhaps.
vizion24 1 month ago
@vizion24 But he knew in advance, since he is omniscient. Why would god knowingly create me sick, and order me to be well and If I don't he will send me to hell for his own mistake? This doesn't seem to be fair at all.
Lulzalutioners 1 month ago
@Lulzalutioners I don't know. He is has plan according to His purpose though.
But you still have the free will to choose to repent and Jesus and His love and grace or perish.
vizion24 1 month ago
@vizion24 I mean why would an all loving god send me to hell and allow death and destruction to ravage the earth for thousands of years? Just to test us? He doesn't have to do that since he's omniscient, does he simply enjoy seeing people suffer?
But I don't have free will, if I chose one thing, I get hell, if I chose Jesus I get to go to heaven. There is no free will here there's simply a man pointing a gun at me telling me that I have free will to chose if I give him money or not.

Vaajraath 1 month ago
@Vaajraath Atheism, Christianity, religion in general, I think that we're all just trying to come to some understanding of this massive and mysterious universe that we live in, how we came to be and what our purpose is. Everyone has their own take on all these mysteries. Mine may be through Christianity, yours may be through Atheism, another person may find it through Buddhism. And just because I'm Christian today, doesn't mean it's a lifetime obligation.
Vaajraath 1 month ago
@Vaajraath If someday down the line I feel that Islam, Atheism, Buddhism, etc makes more sense to me I'll adjust my faith accordingly. In the meantime, I don't isolate myself in Christianity and ignore the rest of the beliefs in the world today. I actually enjoy learning about other religions and their belief systems, about The Big Bang Theory and the Theory of Evolution. Just because, I'm Christian doesn't mean that I dismiss everything else as absolutely wrong.
Vaajraath 1 month ago
@Vaajraath I think that they all have valid points and all deserve to be equally respected. Just because something doesn't make sense to me, you, or anyone doesn't make it wrong. It's just a different point of view. There's so much out there that we don't know and may never actually know, but I think that each of us has a sort of "piece to the puzzle". Most of the time today it seems that people will horde their piece to themselves.
Vaajraath 1 month ago
@Vaajraath They'll say that their piece is better or more correct than everyone else, try to belittle the pieces that others have, and/or try to make others give up their piece to come and join a group that has another piece. I find this sad because in reality none of these pieces are superior or more correct. If people could just set their egos and petty differences aside and put the pieces together, I think that they would be surprised at what they would find.

There is no variable for "fire" in Jer 3:12.

No label for “fire” in Jer 3:12

I don't understand why people won't believe in God. There is nothing bad about believing in God. The bible has made predictions, and it has never been wrong. Unlike many, if not all other religions and beliefs, etc. that have also made predictions but have been wrong at least once.

@frostyh81 the bible says the earth is flat and that illness is caused by demonic posession and that the moon and sun move. people don't believe in God because there is not a shred of evidence and not everyone is gullible enough to believe in immaginary all knowing all powerful gods or crap like that
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo Doesn't the moon revolve around the earth? And doesn't the sun move a little every year or something? People have been and can be possessed by demonic things. Anyway, if you want to argue go talk with a true christian, as I am not.
frostyh81 3 months ago
@frostyh81 right i didn't mean to mention the moon. point is the earth is not flat the sun does not orbit the earth illness is caused by bacteria and viruses the earth was not created in 7 days evolution is a fact and the bible is a bunch of bullshit written by ancient mother f*ckers in a pre-science society and it should not be taken more seriously than a fairytale should be
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo I could say evolution is bullshit and the bible is fact. You know the bible says anger is a sin, and it also says God got angry at someone or some people or something, fact is He got furious. How does that work? If God is perfect, how could he sin? I don't understand, YOU don't understand. People who don't believe in Jesus are soo much more vile, cruel, vulgar and just I don't want to be like them. The christians I know are so joyful, so happy, nothing can tear them down.
frostyh81 3 months ago
@frostyh81 you'd be WRONG. evolution is a fact it has more evidence to support it than gravity. atheists are the ones that DON 'T feel smugly superior and that don't feel like they're in posession of the truth when it comes to the creation of the universe and they don't say that if you don't accept their beliefs you'll burn for eternity in hell. not only that but they're close-minded people I'd much rather be surrounded by atheist than by brain washed christians
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo Evolution is a theory. It cannot be proven, you can theorize but you can't actually say that the earth is all the resulf of the big bang, you can believe it; just like you can believe in God. This guy "theamzingatheist' seems pretty smug to me. And saying you're gonna go to hell for not believing in God (and actually believing it) is like saying a murdered is gonna spend their life in jail. atheists think of of themselves usually, the bible is suppose to teach others to be selfless
frostyh81 3 months ago
@frostyh81 it has been. sorry but it's a fact. it's 100% sure. when it comes to the big bang it is not 100%certain but I'd still take the theory of the top minds in america over some priests who wanted to control the gullible masses 2000 years ago's word. theamazingatheist's smugness has nothing to do with his atheist position, the only thing that you can infer from someone's atheist position is that they don't believe in God oh and the bible says people should stone the gays to death you know
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo You only think it's true because of what scientists learn from other scientists, that sounds promsing. . . How is that any different from how christians are learning from one book? You and they have not seen the big bang, as you and I have not seen Christ. The bible says a lot of things. I don't think the bible was written in english though, and every translation is not 100% accurate. How many times must I tell you, YOU and I as well as this fatty don't UNDERSTAND the bible. .
frostyh81 3 months ago
@frostyh81 the book is thousands of years old, it's stories are unreliastic and WRONG we know how earthquakes and rain takes place. it's not god it's plate tectonics and condensation. if a good portion of the bible is bullshit why do you still take it seriously? the claims of priests in a pre-science society are as reliable as the claims of modern science? anybody with a brain is skeptic and doesn't just accept these claims with no evidence to support them cos they're shoved down their throats
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo Unrealistic? The bible does have supernatural stories, as God is a supernatural being. How do you know it's not God shifting the plate tectonics? How do you know it's not God bringing the wind to push the clouds together so tightly they create so much moisture it takes the form of rain. I never said ANY part of the bible is bullshit, where the hell did you get that from? I do believe God is watching over you, as he is watching over me.

So I guess really it'd be Satan creating all that geodynamic mechanism (if I remember correctly).
frostyh81 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo Also, you said "until God is proven to exist he does not". So then when God is proven to exist does that mean he hasn't existed before he was proven? @cappapagoooo There is evidence, it's up to you to believe it and experience it or not. You are in a sense asking people to combine robots and ghosts. Two completely different things.

@theantihero420 like the truth about how the universe came to be? and do I force the few acticles of faith I have on other people? epecially when my faith is in something that has been proved to be a failed hypothesis? if I say that I have faith that rocks are intelligent beings that's when you, as a reasonable individual say "hey that's not true to be alive something must carry out all life processes such as respiration, reproduction, it has to respond to stimuli and it requires nutrition ect"
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo You are arguing that there is no God (which is is a faith based belief) and proclaiming that everyone who disagrees with your belief is wrong. If you sit there and claim that you do no know what caused the universe to come into existence, but you know it is not God (which you cannot know unless you have proof to the contrary) then you are taking the belief there is no God on faith. You are in fact, trying to force your beliefs, that which you take on faith, onto others.
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420 proclaiming everyone who is theist to be wrong is a proclamation based on evidence. the fact that I do not believe in the deist God is the stance of not believing in something that has not met it's burden of proof and not accepting claims that haven't met their burden of proof is a good thing. otherwise people would believe in everything without requiring proof. I wouldn't be an atheist anymore if there was substantal evidence (that stood up to scrutiny) for the deist hypothesis.
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo lol, no, Macro-evolution is not 100% sure. No scientific theory can be 100% sure, because science is inductive, meaning at any time new evidence could come along and completely destroy the theory as it stands, either forcing it to be rewritten, or completely scrapped for a new theory. I believe that the Big bang DID occur. BUT, even if one grants the theory of macro evolution as 100% true,
& stands by the theory of the big bang, that still wouldn't negate the need for a creator!
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420 but not being able to disprove something isn't and never has been a compelling reason to believe in it. also you are arguing for the deist god whilst I was arguing against the christian one and look at the title of the video it isn't the case against deism
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo 1st, I'm not arguing that just because you can't disprove God means we should believe in God. I am saying that there are many compelling reasons to believe that God exists. 2nd, I am not arguing for a deist conception of God. You are arguing that there is no evidence for God, I am arguing that pointing towards a evolution and the big bang does nothing to dismiss the need for a creator. I am establishing that there's a need for a creator, but that doesn't mean my beliefs stop there
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420 pointing out that the notions of the bible are wrong (the notion of man not evolving from primates and natural selection not taking place) makes the centrestone of the religion fall apart and shows the religion is fallacious. it may not disprove the deist god but it does disprove the theist one. your need for a creator would just leave you with an infinite regress, who created the creator? and if he created himself why can't the universe which surely exists have created itself?
cappapagoooo 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo first, I am not sure where in the Bible you are meaning, but there is no mention of evolution in Scripture at all, and the fact that there are theists who believe in evolution and natural selection shows that it is not incompatible with theism, therefore your claim that the centrestone (I think you mean capstone?) of Christianity fails is just a false claim. Second, Christianity does not rise or fall on evolution, it is centered on the person of Jesus Christ.
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420 the bible is the foundation of christianity and it says that God created the world in 6 days 10,000 years ago. The world was not created in 6 days, 10,000 years ago, so the Bible is wrong. If the world were merely 10,000 years old then what about the dinosaurs that are millions of years old? We've discovered fossils that date back billions of years. Even the skeletons of modern humans date back before the time of Adam and Eve. bible = wrong. hence christianity = also bullshit
cappapagoooo 3 months ago

BTW, It is illogical of you to think that the universe is eternal when Science says otherwise.
theantihero420 3 months ago
@cappapagoooo also, on a point I meant to make earlier before I had class earlier but was unable to because my internet was messing up, is that God is not self created, He is eternal. The universe cannot be self created, because to do so, it would have to exist in order to create itself. If it already existed, it would not need to create itself. If you want to claim that the universe is eternal, you are going against what modern cosmology shows us (that the universe is finite).
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420 the cosmological argument sucks..
/watch?v=WHtxnIkzros watch this and accept that it holds as much water as a spaghetti strainer
we can prove the universe exists so wouldn't it be more logical to say that the universe(something we can pretty much prove exists) was always there in some form? once again: there is no evidence for God, hence faith, the default for not having proof to support crazy claims like invisible dieties

his attempts at philosophical arguments utterly fail to provide a cogent argument. The rock to big for God to move argument is irrelevant, because it is a logically contradictory action. It doesn't make sense to expect God to be able to do logically contradictory actions, in the same sense that a square circle doesn't make sense. If you want to include among the category of "Omnipotent" the ability to perform logically contradictory things, then it doesn't matter, because God could do both.

xxESPx 3 months ago
@xxESPx Not mad, merely showing that instead of refuting or engaging any of my arguments, u instead state that I have no reason to point out logical fallacies in other peoples arguments, because my belief in theism is itself a logical fallacy. U are calling into question the integrity of my beliefs while ignoring my arguments. Ad hominem is attacking your opponents character (in this case my beliefs) rather than his arguments. This is exactly what you did, and as I pointed out, it is of no value
theantihero420 3 months ago
"Most modern Christians even support the theory of evolution" FALSE!
Later he states "the all but proven theory of evolution, & I mean as proven as say, gravity..." This is also a blatantly false statement. 1st, there are many problems with a definition of Evolution that when boiled down, states that every form of life evolved from something non-living. 2nd, Gravity is a scientific law, whereas Evolution is merely a theory. This theory of evolution is not & cannot become a law. Why? no proof!
theantihero420 4 months ago
Further more, later in the same video where he said "Most modern Christians even support the theory of evolution" he makes the statement, "of course, many Christians don't believe in evolution because it contradicts the Bible,"
theantihero420 4 months ago
@theantihero420: Saying that most MODERN christians support the theory of evolution and saying that many christians don't believe in evolution is correct and not a contradiction.
Trampadoo 3 months ago
@Trampadoo l guess it depends on your definitions of the ambiguous terms "Many" and "Most." The way I understand them, "most" refers to the largest numerical quantity of a group, and "many" is a large number of them. Now, if most Christians (the largest quantity of Christians) support the theory of evolution, that in my mind doesn't leave room for a large number of them to disbelieve in it, since the largest number do. You can still be right, but what about my other problems with this video?
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420: Yeah, but you completely ignored that he said modern christians, e.g. he defined a group within the whole of christianity and then stated that most MODERN christians support the theory of evolution. ;)
Trampadoo 3 months ago
@Trampadoo maybe you are right, and he meant modern for the one argument, and then was referring to the whole of Christianity for the other. (though I find it absurd to say that Christians who had never heard of Darwin's theory rejected it, or that you can know the beliefs of Christians from times past when we do not have the kind of data needed to support such a claim.) Regardless, this is a minor point among many points that I made against this video. What say you to my other objections?
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420:
Trampadoo 3 months ago
@Trampadoo I disagree that the reason most posit God as Creator because they can't deal with not knowing. It is perfectly logical to posit God as a creator, and I have no problem with not knowing things. also, by saying that you happy with not knowing and working on the puzzle, what you are in essence saying is that you reject the possibility that God created the universe a priori, and will continue to claim ignorance until you can come up with a naturalistic explanation. this stance is naive
theantihero420 3 months ago
@theantihero420:
Trampadoo 3 months ago
@theantihero420 umm u need to go back to a science class gravity is just a theory. evolution is merely a theory? well ill give you the definition of a theory...Theory, hypothesis are used in non-technical contexts to mean an untested idea or opinion. A theory in TECHNICAL use is a more or less verified or established explanation accounting for known facts or phenomena: the theory of relativity.
AthenaPoseidon 4 months ago
2. evolution is a FACT religious nut cases are the ones that have kept you ignorant. only 'human' evolution is a theory and that is only because of religion
AthenaPoseidon 4 months ago
@AthenaPoseidon I am in no way denying the fact that species adapt to their environment and change in order to better survive in said environment. I am denying the theory that many species have evolved from one form of life into another species altogether. This is in no way proven, and there is a considerable amount of justified skepticism as to whether life can come from non-life, which is needed if you believe that everything came from nothing, that is, that there is no intelligent creator.

AZASN8SHUN 4 months ago
@AZASN8SHUN That is so against what the NT actually says. The synoptic gospels state heavily that heaven and hell are a meritocracy (Matt 19:29). Your status in heaven is dictated by how much you give away in this life, and your demise in hell is dictated by your level of sin (Matt 5:29). But the synoptic ideas of heaven and hell are different to what Paul and John say, because they don't mention hell at all. If all sin has been paid for, you can ignore Matthew. Oh, you are! Different religion?

As we continue to debunk things that maybe as early as only a year, or a few months ago that we "knew" to be a fact, we will continue to move past the bullshit our ancestors "knew" was true, and there will always be those who don't want to move past it, or with it.
hoboboxerjoe 5 months ago
So, if the Bible was true, at all, then none of this should exist, or have happened. We should not have lived and existed at a time where there were other intelligent beings who were capable of learning, and having language, and everything we think that seperates us from the rest of the animals.
hoboboxerjoe 5 months ago
We had artwork, we had wars, and tribes, and politics, we also used basic scientific-method. While neanderthals were all about Europe (and they were eventually bred into our African-ape ancestors, creating our European ancestors, ancient Nords especially showed signs of very ancient evolutionary interbreeding), barely living in anything resembling a society. Our African ancestors had trade-routes, religion, art, and quite possibly some form of language, over 150,000 years ago.
hoboboxerjoe 5 months ago
