  • One of the best big arena show bands.

  • I was in Junior High when we hosted German exchange student. First day in the States, Ralf went out and bought the newly released "Budokan" album. That's all he play ... over and over. And I LIKED IT! Thank You.

  • the drummer has the greatest mustash ever

  • I've heard comments from people that listen to this now and then and say things like "Rick, the guy with the funny hat... Is a NUT JOB..." NO, he's the brains of the band... When I met him back in 1978 at a private get together, i saw the 10,000 guitars he collected... (ok maybe a loose connection, but not a nut job) Or, did I meet him at a guitar store.... or, was that a cheap trick, i met?

  • GREATEST....Intro...Ever

  • Does Anyone Else This Robin Zander Had Plastic Surgery?

  • cheap tric is far better than any new bands playing to day and i too have seen them in cincert many times there great!!!

  • wow i saw this concert with kiss in moncton, new brunswick.

  • This is the way to cover a song. Put your own unique stamp on it and do it well. I hope Fats Domino liked it and got some nice royalties too.

  • The three people who dislike this classic live tune need to give up their YouTube privledges.

  • mike ardis loves boy!

  • Ain't That a shame we lost ALL our hairband.

  • I needed this!

  • @quije357 Thumbs up. They've developed an affinity for dicks, but they haven't developed a sense of humor.

  • i had this record back then.and my sister jacked it.

  • i wore this record out....yes i said record....pop click scratch....

  • a little long on the solo drums but damnnnnnnnnnnnnn what a hell of a rendition of an awesome song!!!!!!!! Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!! but wish they would have dragged the song out with the vocals rather than the musicals-----almost looose -practically looooooose all interest until the bloody vocals get you ---off the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!! FNA love this !!!

  • CT hit #35 in Billboard, 9-29-79. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Man, this song kicks 10 kinds of ass! I've thaught so since I was 8 or 9.

  • True story....it's 1978'ish...3 am'ish...I;ve got my big fat head phones on.....I'm playin' rock star...air guitar .....drummer....butt naked.....and I open my eyes to see my mom walk OUT of the room.....we never spoke of this and I miss her very much....RIP mom xox

  • CHEAP TRICK---"AIN'T THAT A SHAME"

  • love how you can hear thousands of broads just losing their minds!

  • these boys was rocking it out. just sounds like a bunch of fun.

  • these boys was rocking it out. just sounds like a bunch of fun.

  • I saw them for free when i was in marine corps boot camp in san diego.

They walked us across the street to the Navy base and sat us down and said "no clapping or cheering of any kind" LOL

they kicked ass for a bunch of navy and marine recruits, i wanted to jump up and down and flick the lighter. No dice.

watching a rock concert completely still without clapping is an un-natural thing. LOL

  • Rock and Roll!

  • best version of this song!

  • @DallasKass I saw them with Poision and Def Leppard, They were friken great!!!

So was Def Leppard!!! I love Poision, But they sucked. I now know why they call Rick Allen the god of THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @girl5191352 No, they called rick "the thunder god"

  • Oh yah!

  • Best drum intro in rock n roll history.

  • They made a complete mockery of the concept of 'the blues' 8^D

  • @AG51LZ Even so, Fats himself said this was his favorite version of his song haha! Cheap Trick were style incarnate. :D

  • Man it's a shame Tommy's bass got drowned out, this song has one of the sickest rhythm sections of any cheap trick performance!

  • the first cheap trick song i ever heard.

  • great intro to a great song by a killer band!

  • Saw them in concert in El Paso, TX in the late 80's. Excellent!! They are just as good in person as their albums. Great Band!!

  • a classic cover.

  • little subtleties: Rick Nielson pays homage to the Beatles during his solo; listen for a riff from "Please Please Me"..love Bun E.'s drumming intro to this.

  • I saw many rock concerts in lates 80s and 90s. Cheap trick is on my top 3 list of most ass kicking bands in live concerts. They rock the balls out of your pants! The other two were guns and roses and the great pink floyd. of course pf rocks you in a trippy way!

  • @DallasKass

    Oh Yeah GNR Forever!!

  • @DallasKass I envy that you got to see guns and pink floyd and cheap trick...thats awesome...

  • @DallasKass I have never done the stuff, however, I believe you have to be tripping on acid to understand half of what he Pink Floyd sings.

  • and a great beginning

  • Good song, great ending!

  • This is from the Budokan album.

  • Yep. Still my favorite version of the intro. Bun and Rick kick ass.

  • Nice.
