That fade sucks ass, If you are a negro american with corse hair you need to go to a negro barber, sorry folks don't mean to sound racists. Even when I was in the military they always had black barbers to cut the negro servicemens hair.
Did you have your mater andis "open" all the way ? or did you have it "close" all the way, when you were creating the first line ? and how can i get DVDs about your work so i can see and improve my clipper cutting skills ?
If you guys want to see a bit of a change in the quality of this video just put "&fmy=8" (of course without the quotation marks) @ the end of the url at the top of your browser... press go and see if u see a difference... &fmy=8 at the end of the url is supposed to increase the vid quality a little... of course thats what i heard...
i know for a fact that this is a good technique because he did the same thing @ a hair show i attended in June '09 in Orlando. And he is the real deal who is willing to give tips. Those who criticize should post vids with BETTER QUALITY of what they can do. Honestly, u can't really see it well.
thank you so much for this video. i am currently a cosmetology student and i do very few clipper cuts, as a result i am somewhat apprehensive about doing them and creating that dreaded line. for the first time i am actually starting to "get" it and i am excited to attempt this on a friend. thank you thank you!
some ppl make a video to teach somethin n just show themselves doing it fast and trying to show off, i appreciate u xplainin the steps to ur method, ive never seen it or tried it but im still in school trying to get my license so im deffinatly gonna give it a shot, thx 4 the time
To those knocking this method it definitely look like its worth a try. The quality of the picture in the vid isn't clear enough to judge the transition, so I'll take the clipperguy's word and give it a try. I wonder, should I listen to the years experience of a successful stylist and businessman? or the closed-minded rants of irate asses?
Those who hate on this video r LOOSERS! Don't ever comment on something you haven't tried! How do you get a fadeline out? Don't put one in! Dummies! When you put such a sharp line into the fade its harder to take out! I've tried this technique and compared both sides..And you actually get a smoother transition...
sorry but that was a FAIL!!! and i watched this video with a complete open mind!---start from the BOTTOM of the scalp till you get to your fade line (and please please dont take your fade line as high as he did in the video if you have long hair like that or you may as well get a old school flat top!!!) get to your fade line then Fade up using different blades or settings to get that nice and progressive fade look!!--The minute he took out that comb i knew it would be a man down situation!!
hey i have to give you props my wife had never touched hair at all never even used a machine, and she watched this video and cut my hair for the first time and it was perfect and easy. KUDOS!!!
i think this is a great tip. I dunno what you all are talking about cuz this video isn't clear enough to see the fade line that well. This would clearly save a lot of time fading the longer lengths of hair up top by using this technique. the blending is up to you
Thank you for your validation. We will have another video version of this w better resolution soon to quiet the critics... mean time... it is an idea that WORKS... You just have to be open minded and willing to try something different.
But just to comment on the racist comments below, they are not needed! It's after 2000, get with the times. Besides this guy has plenty of other great tips as well.
damn son that is pretty bad. This technique is good for only the starting line. When you blend use the guards or different blades( for masters or oster76 people).
After you decide, low, med, or high fade (fade point), if you fade UP, rocking the clipper out at the fade point, you will get the same effect. It's quicker, easier, and less chances of a mistake. Barber 101!!!
Im sorry but this fade was garbage....your not going to get that smooth blend with out fading with all clips...Ye to blend the long hair a comb is fine but come on that fade was pretty shitty...
Easy now... the purpose of the vid is to share the concept... the resolution of the video will never do good fading justice. Do not knock it until you've tried it.
Hey wat do u guys recommend the andis t-outliner, andis II outliner, andis styliner, or andis styliner II? Let me know cus I need 1 asap! And I don't know which 1 to buy!
This guy knows a lot of good tips but that fade looks rushed. His style seems to be to get the job done as quickly as possible... You can't cut black hair like that, it takes time to get a thorough fade. Starting the initial blending line is to create a more precise and even fade.
Hi Ivan, I need a good trimmer or outliner for TAPES or tape ups or you know a close clean cut..lol... And I bought a ANDIS T TRIMMER and it didnt really cut very close. Then i bought an ANDIS OUTLINER II and it gets really HOTT really fast. So My question is which one do you recommend or which is the better one.
Thank you so much for making this video! I hope my first cut on my husband tonight looks good! haha. Maybe I should have tried it on the kids first...
Ivan good job, great class.
