i know for a fact that this is a good technique because he did the same thing @ a hair show i attended in June '09 in Orlando. And he is the real deal who is willing to give tips. Those who criticize should post vids with BETTER QUALITY of what they can do. Honestly, u can't really see it well.

Those who hate on this video r LOOSERS! Don't ever comment on something you haven't tried! How do you get a fadeline out? Don't put one in! Dummies! When you put such a sharp line into the fade its harder to take out! I've tried this technique and compared both sides..And you actually get a smoother transition...

sorry but that was a FAIL!!! and i watched this video with a complete open mind!---start from the BOTTOM of the scalp till you get to your fade line (and please please dont take your fade line as high as he did in the video if you have long hair like that or you may as well get a old school flat top!!!) get to your fade line then Fade up using different blades or settings to get that nice and progressive fade look!!--The minute he took out that comb i knew it would be a man down situation!!

i think this is a great tip. I dunno what you all are talking about cuz this video isn't clear enough to see the fade line that well. This would clearly save a lot of time fading the longer lengths of hair up top by using this technique. the blending is up to you

After you decide, low, med, or high fade (fade point), if you fade UP, rocking the clipper out at the fade point, you will get the same effect. It's quicker, easier, and less chances of a mistake. Barber 101!!!

This guy knows a lot of good tips but that fade looks rushed. His style seems to be to get the job done as quickly as possible... You can't cut black hair like that, it takes time to get a thorough fade. Starting the initial blending line is to create a more precise and even fade.

Hi Ivan, I need a good trimmer or outliner for TAPES or tape ups or you know a close clean cut..lol... And I bought a ANDIS T TRIMMER and it didnt really cut very close. Then i bought an ANDIS OUTLINER II and it gets really HOTT really fast. So My question is which one do you recommend or which is the better one.

Also why do Andis manufacture for eg: Improved Master/T Outliner/Phatmaster etc, only for the USA, we do cut hair in the UK ya know??
