I think he was obviously too harsh, but its something he most likely apologized for later. Who knows what the circumstances were, or how much stress he was under. At first listen this seems harsh. Let's consider the fact that Alec had to fight to get it in his contract that he can break for a phone call at 11 am and 10 pm every day. Well apparently she didn't answer the phone at the appointed time. She seems to have been rather unreliable keeping the "appointments". He's pissed off that she doesn't even have her cell turned on, and keeps getting her voice mail only. He mentions this has happened several times now, so I for one can understand his frustration, being away from your child and having no way to reach them must get to you. Having to keep a long distance relationship with your child must really suck.
