  • i listen to this while playing red dead redemption lolz

  • This is the best song ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This.....is..............beautiful. ;(

  • Tuco, Angel Eyes and some random Eastwood hater disliked this.

  • 3 dislikes?? Are the three "Blondie", "Angel Eyes" and "Tuco" messing with our heads?

  • @doc2skate

    Blondie wouldn't dislike it....

  • This is one hell of a peice !!! Great talent and vision could have only produce this..

  • AN ADVERTISEMENT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY SONG?

  • me hizo llorar

  • This is the greatest thing i have ever heard

  • i love this movie so much, the scene when all 3 guys stand still waiting for someone to shoot, supported by this master piece of music is so intense!

  • this is the song id play when i finally aproach the dinner table with a hand gun and break it to her that im not gonna eat her meat loaf anymore after all these years of being quiet and terrorized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cholulasaucehot1 The the stare-down---commences!

  • This is so freaking amazing 1:44 gives me chills

  • @Skelex20 What we hear from 4.56 onwards is the actual middle segment of the track heard in the movie as I discussed in my earlier post. Before that, (0.00 - 4.55) we hear the track from the Original Soundtrack released when this movie came out. But here, both have been joined as one and this of course, is not how we hear it in the movie. These are two versions of The Trio put together as one.

  • @MrRoGill is there a way to get a combined version on an mp3 player? Love both, so both together is that much better!

  • @Skelex20 You are right. This track is different. At 2.25, after the trumpet suddenly stops, we hear the acoustic guitar taking over, but in the movie the guitar is replaced by Ennio's trademark, that is, the eerie sound effects of the vulture, followed by the pocket watch chimes, the percussive echoes and the kettle drum. Then the trumpet continues as it does here at 3.50 but only till 4.24, when the trumpet is again replaced by an urgent orchestral passage which ends abruptly with the draw.

  • 7:12 Sentenza realize the moment of death

  • Such great! The best of All, I want to hear this in my funeral

  • Spellbinding...it symbolizes masculinity!!!

  • There are two kinds of people in this world, those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig...

  • I prefer this track, it's got the lot plus a trumpet player with lungs like a sperm whale.

  • @loxthehood HEHE thats a good one XD never heard that one before...

  • Just wondering, is this a different mix from about 2:40 onwards to the one that's used in the DVD? It's also used in the first few clips of the duel on here, is this the original then?

  • adoro questo film...

  • "and now joseph is gonna" Shut the fuck up! so I can here this amazing song!!!

  • Quinten Taratino MUSI include this in 'Django Unleashed'!

  • @TIEStudios Unchained

  • Fantastic soundtrack! Ennio is a legend!

  • Eastwood was a lot skinnier back then, by the 1970s he'd put on a bit of muscle hand't he? Great actor, imho the LAST Hollywood Legend alive.

  • two can dig quicker than one dig!!!

  • @servecomp "you're not diggin..." *click* -points gun at you- :)

  • Two dislikes? Guess one was bad and the other ugly...

  • 2 people have been left in the desert yelling at Clint Eastwood.

  • The most epic 7 minutes about three guys standing in the middle of the graveyard doing nothing!

  • i always watched these western movies with my dad when i was a little kid! i miss the old times!

  • @yohswa you and me both.

  • Best version no doubt about it.

  • This music is so manly that my children will born with a beard because i heard it :,(

  • @VenomtheOne

You sir, are the most interesting man in the world. I agree, working in an office has robbed me of my manhood. Hearing this tune, reminds me of what could be if I were indeed a man instead of a soft, pasty office dweller.

  • @yarbles67 thank you sir :,)

  • @yarbles67

    I love Pasties.

    I don't like the Office.

I too am a soft Pasty Office Dweller. Pass me my six shooter and let's go dig !!

  • Épico, una de las mejores composiciones para una de las mejores películas.

  • Seriously, who has the balls to dislike this? Angel Eyes will come after you and SHOOT YOU.

  • @Chompobar or Blondie

  • Anyone like this more than "Ecstasy of Gold" ? I think this track is the best/most powerful.

  • @VenomShock

I always liked this song the most. I think that "Ecstay of Gold" is very good (legendary), but compared to "the Trio", it is overrated. "The Trio" is mostly overlooked when people think of this Soundtrack.

  • @spicmart I completely agree with that. Both are excellent tracks... But damn is this score mighty.

  • @VenomShock check this out: For A Few Dollars More -11- La Resa Dei Conti (Music Clock)

  • 2 people have an empty gun and have to dig.

  • @tripperdoo yes agree with u

  • 2 people were Angel Eyes and Tuco Ramirez

  • I Think this is the best out of all of 'em.

  • The best trilogy ever with the best soundtrack ever. Nothing beats "The Man with No Name" movies! Nothing!

  • Fantastic...brilliant...timeless...epic. This masterpiece should be preserved so future generations can marvel at a piece of cinematic majesty. No matter how many times I see it its never enough.

  • i've been looking everywhere for the full version of this, thanks for posting it!

  • This is my masturbation music. LOL

  • @deltab0y you must have epic sperm

  • @deltab0y came at 3:50

  • How about you buy it? Morricone deserves as much.

  • I accidentally found this version in a torrent a long time ago, then the computer crashed and i lost it...now i can't find it anywhere...any sources? please. links?

  • where can i find this version?

  • where can i get this?!

  • EPIC!

  • I'm glad to find the original, un-cut version of this song!

  • I think that this is the best soundtrack of ever, epic and touching. Moreover, in the film the synchronicity between audio and video is simply perfect, with a lot of exciting and ironic moments. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is one of the most important experiences of my life! =)

  • 2 people are both deaf and blind. They couldn't hear the epic music and they didn't see the nice picture in the video either, since that alone deserves a like.

  • I love it

  • thumb this up if you think they should bring this to the big screen once again

  • @Gibsongeorge

I just had the chance to watch this movie on the big screen here in Finland, and what can you say? Well, first of all I have to say its a spectacle and hands down the best movie experience I have ever had in my life. It seemed so perfect in every way. Great characters, great dialogue, perfect acting, an exciting and brilliant, but yet so simple plot, great visuals, some nice action and as the icing on the cake the best film score ever produced. Superior entertainment.

  • @Gibsongeorge

Oh and I forgot to use the word EPIC!!!! I mean, this film should be the definition of epic. In wikipedia it should say, Epic: watch "the Good, the Bad and the Ugly". The first thing I wanted to do after the film ended was watch it again! Then I wanted to listen to Ennio Morricones fantastic music!

  • @Gibsongeorge wow thats a great idea, especially since i haven't seen it yet. i know i'm an idiot :(

  • @NoMansLandProduction You should watch it, it's a beautiful film, really a good movie!

  • great italian movie, great actors, ennio morricone first composer in the world.

  • Amazing.

    I love it.

  • almost a week since Eli Wallach (Tuco) had birthday and turned 95 :)

  • those two people were the bad and the ugly

  • Just before war this is the song to juice you up...

Thumbs up if you think so.

  • Does anyone else hear how very similar this is to "60 Seconds to What" from "A Few Dollars More" ?

Maybe I've just listened to too much Morricone today and my brain finally exploded from the Epicness.

  • @hellion256 it follows the same motif. that was probably intentional.

  • this music is soo filled with emotion its amazing!

  • unk....unk......there's no name on it........there's no name here either

  • one of best films ever

    one of best music ever

    <3

  • BEST WESTERN MUSIC EVER FOR A SHOWDOWN!

  • You see Tuco, there are two types of people in this world, those with loaded guns and those who dig... You dig.

  • The ugly was tuco ramirez brother of brother ramirez they were mexicans

  • Wow.

That's all that needs to be said. The music speaks for itself.

  • I am proud to be a father of an italian little girl...she is so lucky!

  • In some theatres, you can recommend that they play certain movies on special nights and shit. We got them to play TGTB&tU one night - pretty awesome.

  • 2 dislikers definetly haven't seen the movie

  • Why is there no films like this created today with soundtracks like this?

    WHY!?!?!?!?!?!

Sex and the city 2.....thats why......

  • @TheLahness because its not "cost effective" :(

  • @TheLahness LMAO that's the funniest comment I read in a long time. That will make me laugh every time I think about it! :))

  • @TheLahness

LOTR. But they were like 8 years ago :(

I really miss amazing movies. Today's movies on rely on graphics and 3D cameras, I hate it !

  • @TheLahness *are there

  • @PortalTutorials Ok, I apologize Mr.Grammar Nazi.

  • @TheLahness - AMEN! Too Funny!

  • They should have kept more of the middle portion in the movie. 4:25 to 4:55 is the only part that should've been excluded.

  • At the end, (BANG).

  • Great film, cast and score. Love the trilogy.

  • This soundtrack is the perfect finale music.

  • The movie that redefined the standards for the term "Western." Great job Leone and Morricone.

  • Amazing how much metallica took from this soundtrack. Slow don the first minute of this song and play the unforgiven. It is the same thing.

  • I Miss Spagetti Westerns.

  • @orrinsjuice1 ,

    We all miss them !

  • @azulguapa They are like a piece of me man when I walk in the desert I hear this music, and smell the air after a desert rain and I can feel its beauty. absolutely amazing... A piece of me forever.

  • @orrinsjuice1 ,

    I understand you !

a genious like morricone could translate to music those feelings you have

    every day....

they should make films like this again

  • @azulguapa but all people want these days in a movie are more explosions than if the cold war had become hot. people don't care about story line and emotions anymore

  • @SuperAudimaniac ,

    sadly, you are right.

  • @SuperAudimaniac Most movies yes, however any movie made by Clint Eastwood has storylines and are full of emotion even today.

  • Something like this doesn't come along very often.

  • This is one of the best scores I have ever had the pleasure of gracing my ears... It's long, it's strong and binds three souls into one pot... The end is the best thing I have ever heard...!

  • is it true Ennio died today? it's a rumer goin around

  • This is music! Take note modern day musicians.

  • Best piece of music ever written for a film. By, of course, the best composer of the 20th century.

  • That waiting!!! sounds, vibrations, hissing... Wonderful.

  • My dad introduced me to this film, and i think it really the best film ever created! Cast is brilliant, story is amazing and the soundtacks are just breath-taking! This is the best soundtrack, especially at the end!

    And im only 17!

  • you this until now?

i saw this when i was like five

and i unfortunately didn't see it again until i was 16

but i pretty always heard the soundtrack

    fucking epic (im 18 btw)

  • All of Sergio Leones movies are epic. This one and to me A Fistfull of Dynamite stick out the most.

  • would love to see/hear this live in a full acoustic auditorium...i'm certain it chills to the bone...

  • I was introduced to this soundtrack at 9yrs old. to this day over 30 yrs later i still love it. it is lost on todays youth they cannot appreciate the talent. all i can do is try to get my kids to learn to appreciate it.

  • @hoover783 My dad did to me ;)

  • i know everyone my age likes all the crappy music of today. i hate that with a passion!

if only musical history could repeat itself, then i would despise my generation's "hotest"(cough* lamest) music

  • this music is fantastic, is perfect , is......

  • Muchas gracias OriginalScoreMusic,

    Grandioso....

  • the best of the best

  • Ennio Morricone is a genius ...no more to say!!!

  • I saw this film as a teenager in '67 or '68. But it was the music + showdown that has effected me always. it never gets too old to watch, and it glues you to you seat if you are lucky enough to view a screening in a real movie theatre,.

    .

  • true, everything you hear here is from the movie, but play the real clipand play this, they will not sync because the " for a few dollars more " excerpt comes earlier. Though, I must say, if i want to have a Mexican standoff ill be sure to bring my ipod with me and have the song going through my head LOL

  • it is a substantial part of the film!!!

without morricones music, it wouldn't have been the jewel this movie is

  • Really nice it's the extended version :D

  • Comment removed

  • epic epi and epicer

  • what a music!!

    ahead of its time

  • why ahead?? 60s where a cool era

  • Spectacular! Gorgeous! I could go on but I guess that's getting to the core of things.

  • TRUMPET IS GREAT

  • The Greatest Film and

    The Greatest Soundtrack Ever Made...

Leoni was a genius like no other

Each man accepts his own fate

with nothing more than mere gestures

Nothing can be more epic than that

  • Unbelievably perfect in every sense....this piece just transports me into the beyond. Awesome.

  • agree agree - listening to it blows you away - watching it keeps you on the edge of your seat, heart pounding, palms sweaty - no matter how many times you've watched! ;-)

  • i completely fucking agree with you there

  • I'm very proud to be italian, we did great western in the past.

  • yes, but almost all of them were filmed in Spain!

  • but still most of them were Italian directors, producers, and composer regardless.

  • Yes, right!

  • i salute you Mr. Italian!! =D

  • The Best. And I'm from California, it captures the feel of the west like no other.

  • @PaulJail As an American, I'm proud of you guys to. After seeing this movie, I've learned that Italians know how to make a movie the right way!

  • @PaulJail greatest!

  • @PaulJail Italians have done so many great things in the past :D

  • @PaulJail more then great, you set the bar that all western and great movies in the future would be measured

  • fucking awesome --

even better than i remembered it,

sitting in that movie theater so long ago,

    in the 1960s.

  • you're lucky. getting to experience this epic masterpiece playing out on a proper cinema screen. too bad i was born in 90s. stupid 90s!

  • what are Tuco's alternate names?

i know Blondie is also known as "Joe" (Fistful of Dollars) and "Monco" (Few Dollars More), and Angel Eyes is also known as "Sentenza", but what about Tuco? what weird italian name does he have that's never used in the english version?

  • Tuco's nickname is The Rat. The Pig in the original Italian version and European + Japanese dub. As for his full name, it's Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan María Ramírez. So not really an alternate, unless you cound the whole Pig Rat issue thing.

  • You forgot other names. Blondie is also known as "The Man With No Name" and "The Good". Lee Van Cleef's name in For a Few Dollars More was "Colonel Douglas Mortimer" and I believe Blondie also called him "Old Man", and of course he's "The Bad" in the third film but it's uncertain if the two are actually the same character. And Tuco is "The Ugly". Eli Wallach, who played Tuco, was the one who actually came up with the nickname of Angel Eyes for Lee Van Cleef's character on set.

  • Clint Eastwood gets the poncho in "the Good the Bad and the Ugly", so it would have to come before "Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More". That means the Colonel and Angel Eyes are two different people (not to mention their personas are drastically different).

  • Maybe they're identicle twins like Lee Van Cleef played in God's Gun. But, yeah, they probably are two different characters. The main villian in For A Few Dollars More was played by the same actor as the main villian in A Fistful Of Dollars even though he died in the first one so Leone doesn't seem to care much about having the same actor play two different parts. Plus Leone originally wanted Charles Bronson to play The Bad. But Bronson got to be Harmonica, so everybody wins.

  • I'd like to add, from what I've read, The Man With No Name was supposed to be two completely different characters in "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For a Few Dollars More" because of a successful lawsuit. I think what happened was that Leone was supposed to comply but he didn't. I think the only slight change we see with the character is the "Joe" and "Manco". But at least thats what I think. Lol.

  • Oh yeah, I think the lawsuit was actually from Kurosawa because A Fistful of Dollars was an unlicenced remake of Yojimbo.

  • goooooooooooooooooooooooood

  • Best trumpet playing i've ever heard....so much emotion there!!!!

  • Western has nothing to do with the story taking place in the Old West of the United States, it's all about how the story is told, characters and the general (not exact) environment surrounding them, and since this DOES take place in the Old West you should now that the world outside the film has no relevance as to what goes on in the film itself.

    Now you know.

  • What does it matter whether it`s filmed in Italy or wherever?

For instance "Spartacus" was not filmed on the Apennines peninsula - does it mean that it was not a movie concerning the history of Ancient Rome?

Or maybe they filmed "Star Wars" in space ?

That`s why GBU is the best WESTERN of all times!

  • I can't imagine how exiting this must have been to see on the big screen in -66.

  • @Loserido i can tell you that it was far better than seeing it on a TV. these films were made for a large screen.
