  • that's wonderful, i love this dish too :) Especially with extra onions!

  • ive made this before and it was so delicious. Its light and good for people who are trying to eat healthy, but i omit the butter i must admit it. mmmm i love samak.

  • what is teney sauce?

  • @lennajniltag it is called tahini sauce/paste, it is just ground sesame seeds, you can make it from scratch on my site :)

  • I Eat fool all the time with pita chips or bread with olives! Yum!

  • this dish very close to "samkeh hara" there just a couple of spices different great job dede well done girl :)

  • can you put milk instead of water?

  • hello, i would not advise using milk, it does not work well with the lemon juice and garlic.

  • oh thanks a lot :D

  • hey! great videos! tried out a couple of your recipes can't wait to try this one...is tilapia particularly expensive?

  • Tilapia is not that expensive at all, you can use any white fish for this and and it should work out fine :)

  • YUM Dede! That looks so good! Thanks for sharing this one! I usually use Tahini, water and lemon juice mixed in a bowl and use that as my fish dip or replacement for tartar sauce. It's way better than tartar sauce in my opinion! YUM! <3 Dig :X XOXOX

  • Thanks for the recipe, but a friend of mine got food poison from mixing dairy (Yogurt) and fish together, So I never do that I don't eat any dairy products for 8 hours after eating fish. But the recipe sounds delicious could you leave out the yogurt?

  • Hello, the whole yogurt/fish issue is actually a myth. Your friend may have had bad fish or bad yogurt, but the mixture of the two really doe not cause any indigestion. But if you want to be cautious, yes, you can eliminate the yogurt and just add some more lemon juice and water. Also the cooking process would eliminate any issue that the yogurt would cause :) Happy cooking!

  • YAY Dede you must have read my post on ur site lol. its my fav dish too hubby doesnt like it much. Keep it going girl.

  • There are sooo many great Fish and Fish cookeries in the Med. I must try this. Never cooked fish using this method before. Your husband may not like fish, but he sure is very good producer and camera man! Thanks and much success. And fun. PS, my Father (80y/o) is a native of Detroit., as are his (deceased) Parents.
