The drug addict still lives under the bridge, your parents spent 50k to send you to college so you could become an unproductive public employee, and now you find out that a Porsche gets way more girls than a self righteous do-gooder superiority complex. But what really sucks is that working in the welfare office has left you bitter and disillusioned because you realize that most of them don't really want help, just free stuff.
You know, the only true individual that ever lived was the first cell that sprung into existence, if even that. Even the Big Bang wasn't original insofar as there was something there prior to the universe's existence. Basically, my point being that true individualism doesn't exist, so you don't define you. No matter which way you look at it, be it nature or nurture, external factors, events and culture shape who we are. That being said, I do dislike consumerism, but love the free market, so 9/10
I think this is well meant, but exactly how is social work meaningful? Is helping broken people integrate themselves into a broken, doomed society meaningful? Is telling people that it is their fault, and that they just have to work on themselves and everything will be fine MEANINGFUL? Or is it actually harmful? This ad takes the easy way out, imo.
Now if the kid decided to rob that fucking Porsche dealership, burn it down, and then give the homeless dude a wad id say MAYBE;-)
