@slickryder7 u can just update ur iphone to ios 5 to get the assistive touch. just plug in ur iphone to ur computer, then go to itunes on ur computer then just click on "update" :)

Worked on my iPhone 4 but is there a way to fix my home button because this whole process is really unnecessary we shouldn't have to deal with this and also my voice control turns on by itself even when my phone is locked I didn't even know I had "voice control" its calling people when I'm asleep at night by itself if you know of any solution to this problem please!!! @stars2988 okay lol It's like a can of hairspray, but it's air. You can use use it like to clean the keys on your keyboard. I read if you spray it in the holes in the ipod that might help, I haven't tried it yet though, I didn't buy the can yet lol It's in the elec department of stores

take your iphone cable and plug it into the bottom of your phone. no need to plug into the computer. now grip the part right where it is plugged into the phone and slightly bend it up towards the screen...just a little...bam guaranteed to work!!! use at your own risk cause i'm not responsible if you break anything.

What happen was Apple codex my iPhone 4 the way that I can use Home Button, so I can JailBreak any more or go in to DFU mode. I can put the device in DFU mode when It's not conected to USB/Computer, Just I put the cable, the Home button is useless.

Just upgrade to OS5 then goto to general setting and turn on accessibility and turn on assistive touch. This will give you a virtual home button on the lower right of your screen.
