yeah ur totally right, we should elect a president based on faith, lies, and the candidate's ability to lead our country to financial ruin instead. *cough* Reagan, Bush 1, and Bush 2 *cough*
oh we can't forget about the genius known as Sarah Palin! she's definitely a winner... if the object of the IQ game is to get the lowest score possible.
Isn't it amazing how a song like this can be so powerful, powerful enough to change a persons taste of music even if it's only one simple song that's different. It's awesome
I see this as Barack Obama's theme song. As corny as it sounds, I truly believe this. Now, I'm not old enough to vote. But I followed Obama's campaign since he announced his run. I felt something that I haven't felt in my whole life. Pride. Not just pride in the African American race (I'm half black/ half white also), but myself. Obama has proven that America can change and move forward. This song just defines that power that I feel as an American now. Obama says "Yes We Can".
Shhh! Don't tell anyone, but I like this song too. I sorta thought it was/is dangerously close to Easy Listening (horror!) but Mr. Legend delivers soulfully enough to set the song apart.
I say this as a man old enough to be your Dad (41) Naman: Yes you can. I've lived through twenty years+ of apathetic young people (I used to be one; er, not one of the apathetic ones...) Your country needs you, now more than ever.
And so so true. Change isn't just for Washington. Start something in your community. Join a town board. or Mentor a kid. or Call the Women's Shelter and see what they need this Christmas. or Run for local office. Hey, make sure your buddy has someplace to go for Thanksgiving Dinner and invite him over if he doesn't.
It don't have to be a big thing. None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something.
Im going to use this song to bring change to El Salvador. Hopefully El Salvador can celebrate like we did on November 4th. Please support Mauricio Funes 2009 and help us get rid of our George W. Bush, Antonio Saca
That's funny i downloaded this song about a week ago and yesterday when I was listening to it it hit me how much this song related to Obama and him being president! And now it makes sense, John Legend made this song for him! Go Obama!
You're right. You could call me a conservative Libertarian, but it's not about political positions. We all want the same thing. A better world for all. This song brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.
I luv this song

Let's keep our sleeves rolled up and persist. This won't get done in weeks or months, or even one term, but we can be better and strive once again.
Thank you to everyone for making this promise to our country and world.
Peace and light to all!
