@SunnaMGofficial Thanks friend, didn't spend much time on this one and never 'finished' it, not sure I will. So yeah I agree. I'm not real happy with the sound. I just sort of threw it together because I had not done a video in a while and I wanted to showcase the new nanoKONTROL so I figured something was better than nothing. Anyhoo thanks for listening!
@Synthematix Did you set LIVE up to look for Mackie Control under the nanoKontrol control surface tab? You have to set the nano up in the right mode, but then you have to set up ableton as well.
@djbarxxx1000 Honestly I don't know. I think automap is a trademark of novation so I would guess no. It does however map to the mixer of the ableton without a whole lot of setup if that helps.
@jebonlalok Yup in this instance it is my KORG PX5D Pandora guitar effects processor acting as interface. I switch interfaces often for whatever reason. I've had really nice ones and also some really 'crappy' ones. While I can tell the difference sonically if I really listen, everything sounds so much better than the four track cassette recorder I started on that I've been more or less happy with all of them. Hope that answers your question!
Good song, as usual, though it would be interesting if you did your drums a little bit grittier or "lo-fi", it would co even better with the atmosphere of the song. IMO they sound a little bit too clean, but hey, that's only my advice!
Maybe you should try to record some of the drums without quantization or with different velocity parameters, to add a live feeling.
@DjDoobz thanks man. Yeah just kind of threw this one together in one sitting, not a lot of time to tweak. I tend to like drums tight, but dirty is another matter. I am still working with a new platform and just sharing as I go along but I appreciate the feedback. Hopefully I will in time come to produce music with ableton that I am unquestionably proud of. Thanks for listening!
@soundofseventythree No problem, I figured that you did this 1 a lot quicker than others,but I think I liked so much "Echos rmx" it is hard for me to hear something from you that is less good. Hell,that was the track that made me subscribe, and I still listen to it 3 times a week. I think it's my favorite from you because it has a really natural feeling, all the elements go perfectly well together.
But I know you got some new equipment so work hard on it,adapt it to your style and make us dream!
@DjDoobz Well echos remix had everything run through the zoom st-224 which makes stuff DIRTY! I love it and in time perhaps I can find that same level of grit with Ableton. That's why I like hardware but I am trying to see what I can do with just Ableton right now. Like I said, just sharing as I go. Its been so long since I posted I just wanted to get something up and share the nanoKONTROL love with everyone who's thinking of getting one. I think of this as more of a 'demo' than a 'track'.
@manolismoumouzias Thanks! Yes it was all done with Ableton. I am still very much in the beginning stages of learning Ableton but so far I like it and it seems that there is so much more that can be done with it. Really like the nanoKONTROL 2 as well. That really allowed me to do this dub style performance with Ableton with ease. Thanks for watching!

@soundofseventythree
will present you an answer - all the best 2012
unfortunately on iphone and ipad your bass is too low.
on the mac the sound is perfect - listen to your bassline first time...
nice...but without bass minimal and even better ;)))

Track is GREAT. LOVE the bassline. needs some extra mixing to clean up the sound a lil tho
