You don't actually need to empty all your ammo out, but it does stop you from accidentally picking it up again. Just do the glitch once to drop your primary, then do it again to drop secondary (Should you have one).

you know, it's kind of weird how since it's a glitch it has the reticle as if it knows you were going to drop it. usually glitches in fps games where you drop your weapon still show you as holding your weapon, but others see you without it. just a thought though, i'm not saying you hacked it or bungie made it like that, but it's just kind of interesting. nice video, though!
