It's really a great read because later he breaks down how he & Paul wrote the songs.This is a parody but is 100% Lennon statements. That's what makes it so great! Lennon was bitter at the time.

I remember hearing this not too long after reading Lennon Remembers, which was a book made from his notorious 1970 Rolling Stone interview. It was (and is) absolute hilarious, even more so considering that the lyrics come from Lennon's declarations in the interviews and that it is based on his musical style at the time. Actually this whole song is made up of quotes taken from the 1970 Rolling Stone interview with him. You can listen to the whole interview (about three and a half hours) in the form of a podcast. Just google it, it's easy enough to find. It pretty much blows the lid off the whole peace and love image of the Beatles.
