I agree, the Father's mark will be adherence to His law and the teachings of His Son. But, I believe there will be a mark of the beast coming which will block any turning back to God once accepted. I believe it will be some type of microchip or other high tech gadget that will connect humans to the great AI (artificial intelligence) idol the technologists are currently working on. Alot of what you hold on to is just because your not informed. i.e., that verse you quoted is from 2nd Peter. It has already been accepted by most biblical scholars that 2nd Peter is a pseudograph. Possibly canonized in order to add validity to Paul.

When I first saw this video I thought it was one of those microchip and bar code is the mark of the beast videos, so I blew it off. I didn't yet focus on individual symbols that violate the 2nd commandement, but I do lay out the full Biblical context for what a 'mark' is.
