  • For a normal sized bedroom, how many sheets should it take to effectively lower the volume outside the room? I have just an extra bedroom that contains one drum set and a set of direct reflection speakers. i will not be able to hang the sheets directly behind the speakers or the sound quality would be decreased. is there another suggestion for placement to cut down the volume. My idea was one in front of each of the two doors and then possibly on the lower parts of the surrounding walls.

  • @ETurnerOL Hi! Thanks for your comment.. not a bad idea at all. Using the sheets in your spare bedroom will help drastically improve the quality of sound, but diminish some of the sound from going out (disturbing neighbors and housemates). If you like, I'm available by phone or live chat if you want to talk further. I'm at your service! Thanks.

  • sooo basically it's a packing blanket?

  • @ariapro7 not even close to a packing blanket. its material, meant for acoustics.

  • @dhump415 packing blankets do the same thing though. I use them in my studio

  • This is a joke! To be fair.. it probably does a really good job.. If you buy multiple sheets. But honestly.. $459 for one sheet? All the videos on your website are doubled up on sheets.. AND you cover the entire room. You can get better acoustical treatment for an entire room for less than the cost of one sheet! One Sheet?.. Or one room? Two sheets?.. Or an awesomely treated room? Sorry sir, but I choose an awesomely treated room!

  • @goodbyeseptember Thanks for your comment, but I think you are misunderstanding the pack size. You get one pack size of sheets.. $429 for 10 sheets each 7.5' x 4.5'. That's about 350sqft of material. This is free shipping as well. Hope this helps clarify things up!

  • @audimutedemos Lol.. That does make a lot more sense! But regardless, I would prefer to treat my room with 2 x 4 feet padding 2 inches deep, thick bass traps, and a diffuser. It doesn't kill the room, and it works amazingly. And the best part, is its more cost effective :)

  • @Bloodscribe44 Great question! Although Audimute Absorption Sheets and blankets are both manufactured by a high speed stitching process and may look similar, they are not in the same league! Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets are made of 100% natural fibers (cotton & wool.) They are engineered for acoustic performance and have been proven effective (.70 NRC and higher) both in the lab and in thousands of applications for over a decade. Happy to help! Give a call if you wish to discuss!

  • So you just put a piece of it in the one wall and it'll trap the sound it for it not going out the room or what?

  • @3sharky0623584 You have to successfully treat the room as best you can. Typically, people add about 80-100% square footage in the space. Give a call so we can discuss!

  • @audimutedemos can you just put it around the doors and windows and it will trap the sound a little from getting out because i just want to to play my video games with surround system with out my mom telling me to turned it down

  • @3sharky0623584 Sure! Just make sure you add a door seal, which is like weather stripping, to the door as well. This will help stop the sound from leaking out, as well as leaking in! Give a call so I can be more of service! Thanks!

  • @audimutedemos one more question how much would this cost

  • @3sharky0623584 For pricing information, please visit our website!

  • Hi, i make beats, i have my home studio in my basement... And my mom's always screaming to stop the music while im producing -_-... She says that the ''boom-boom'' who are the kicks lol are realy annoying... What do you suggest me ? And approximatly how much do i'll need to spend ? Do it will completly block the sound through my chamber in the basement to upstairs ? Thank you for your help...

    Peace !

  • @WordUp1200 Hey! Thanks for your comment. Could you contain yourself in somewhat of an isolatory booth? Making one would be the most effective, using our Peacemaker Sound Insulation behind the drywall, then add sheets to the finished room. If you can't do this, then I would highly recommend using some of the Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets to help control the mid and high range frequencies. Not much you can do for the lows if you can't do something structural. Give a call! Happy to discuss!

  • @audimutedemos Thank you for your fast reply ^^ i'll definatly give a call as soon as i get some free time.

  • Hi there! So, these blankets can do a good job for soundproofing, Not just absorbing? I remember some long time ago reading about them that they soundproof 60%. Is it those same blankets? Thnx

  • @na27der Opposite. They help ABSORB mid and high range frequencies. Soundproofing is a little different. For more info on that, check out Peacemaker by Audimute. Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets will help control the intensity inside the space, ellivating the sound pressure you're experiencing. They can help control about 70% of loudness in the room! Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact me to discuss.

  • @audimutedemos thnx, mitch!

  • This is my situation. I live on first floor condo. When the people upstairs walk it sounds like very loud stomping!! It resonates right down into me. Are the blankets designed to help absorb this? Is there anything you suggest? This is driving me crazy. The walking wakes me up in the middle of the night! Thanks

  • @RICHISMAHER Hey there. I'm happy to help! I think we just chatted online too! You may want to give me a call. There are a lot of options to do, but since you're in a condo, it may be difficult to achieve! Happy to help though.. give a call! 866 505 6883 Mallory

  • @audimutedemos Is there a better option than peacemaker??

  • @RICHISMAHER

I have this same problem. I live in a downstairs unit, in an apartment, and I am frustrated because Isobooths are $3,000+ and require assembly, and none of these videos specify to what extent you're sound PROOFING or sound TREATING a room (there's a difference!)

  • hey i live in a basement with concrete walls and the ceiling is wooden so should i put this stuff in the ceiling to

  • @admiral8toes Oh definitely! Adding the blankets to the ceiling will help control the sound pressure levels in the space, reducing the amount of sound going out and best of all, allowing for better clarity in the space. Happy to help if you wish to chat or give a call. Thanks!

  • @audimutedemos ok cool thanks man andhow much are thses i need a lot big basement ahahh

  • These thin blankets won't "take care of any sound problem you have at home." The wavelength of 500hz is 2.26 feet. Even at 1k it is over a foot, and at 80hz, the wavelength is over 14 feet.

So these may have an NRC of 0.7 for high frequencies like 5-10k. But all these will do is deaden the highs in a room and take away the brightness.

What you really need to do in home rooms is bass trapping!

  • @xjake88x You're exactly right! The Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets are geared for mid and high range frequencies and if you want to treat lower end wave lengths, try our Audimute Bass Traps. These exceptional, Earth Friendly four inch thick trap will literally 'trap' those lower end, harder to control frequencies in the corners of the room. Remixing is also a great way to start with trying to 'soundproof' a room. Give us a call to discuss!

  • I want to block sound coming into the room as well as going out and there are 3 points through which the sound travels: 2 walls and the floor. would i be able to cover these areas with ceramic tiles and get good results?

  • @artymowycz No, ceramic tiles are NOT a barrier product. Peacemaker is a good sound blocking product that will help reduce the amount of sound transfer from one room to the other. Usually drywall is placed right after the wall. Give a call for more details or visit our website!

  • Thanks.

  • Hi i practice in a small room with my flute with a door, if i hanged the sheets wouldnt it still be heard from the cracks in the door or from under the door?

  • @xambrulesx A little, but that's why we have a Door Seal Kit. This kit acts like a weather strip and helps prevent sound from transmitting out, and even from coming in. We have it on our website, so feel free to take a look under Acoustic Seals. Call if you have any questions!

  • what if I dont want to bug my own roommates ?

  • lol screw 300 bucks, moving blankets here i come!

  • Isn't it the same material as moving blankets?

  • Absolutely not. Moving Blankets have never been lab tested. They do not have an NRC rating. Noise Reduction Coefficient. Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets have one at .70 which is exceptional! Please call for more information or visit our website.

  • i love how it says on a budget but this shit cost over 300 bucks

  • Compared to other Acoustic solutions, this is pretty cheap!!

  • @bassistperson - while it's not as cheap as a blanket, doing structural changes, or building a room is a hell of a lot more expensive than $300..

  • @bassistperson Ever looked at the cost of a studio? 300 bucks is nothing.

  • Can you put these on the floor or only hang them on the wall?

  • Hi! I wouldn't recommend putting these on the floor as they will get extremely dirty. Walls and ceilings only. Hope this helps!

  • What if you put them on the floor and then put something over top of them . I live in upstairs room so sound would leak through the floor tooo

  • Won't work. The product needs to be exposed to the sound source. If it's covered by anything that not air permeable, it will be useless.

  • My problem with many of the sound proofing materials is that they are 30-50% higher in price than an average material that costs the same to make. So this and many other "budget" solutions wind up costing hundreds of dollars. Budget, to me is under a hundred. Am I wrong?

  • Choose Audimute for a low cost, yet highly effective way to soundproof a studio, rehearsal room, etc. We have helped many customers who are on tight budgets! I'm happy to help. Please feel free to give us a call or visit us on the web!

  • Do you have a video demonstrating the use of the soundboards too?

  • I don't sell Soundboards. For more information, give us a call or visit our website. I think our Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets will work as an alternative solution.

  • do you have this product outside the us?

  • i live near railroad tracks and the blaring horns disrupt my sleeping patterns. is there something i can do other than move?

  • set the railroad on fire

  • Did you really need to say "disrupt my sleeping patterns"?

Like why not just "Wake me up"?

  • hes really asking you to recommend another product haha ....ok that video where you are playing the drums ...i heard inside the room that makes no difference ................................... i wanna hear from outside of the room can you make a video of that ..because im sure that will be more convicing

  • Absolutely! We are in the process of implementing more videos on YouTube! Stay Tuned!!

  • I forgot to ask if a car pass by will stop the noise from coming in went I am recording

  • Depending on how many sheets you can use. Normally, if the car is loud or has a bad muffler, then it will not stop the sound from coming in. Double layer is highly recommended. As much area you can cover is a plus too! Call us! I'll be happy to discuss. 866 505 6883

  • Duble layer what do you mean like to used duble sheets

  • Using two sheets on top of one another.. or simply overlap is good!

  • will you guy build a vocal both for me and if you do how much will it coist a portable vocal both wit the peace maker

  • could i find that in somthing thats like... cheaper?

  • This is our most cost effective product we have. For $160, free shipping, you can get 8 sheets! Please call 866 505 6883 for more information.

  • cant i use like ...foam from a mattrice

  • The agents in a mattress has no soundproofing quality whatsoever. Our Audimute Sheets have a NRC rating of .70 which is exceptionally high! Please call for more information. 866 505 6883

  • how much is it ?

  • Depending on much you need, our standard 8 pack of 6.5 x 3.75 is roughly $160, free shipping in the USA. Hope this helps! I look forward to serving you.

  • i play bass guitar and goin 2 lern keybord and guitar ,how about foam or mcdonals cup holders can that help

  • Sure! If you are only looking to get 5% reduction and have them deteriorate after just a few months. Our Audimute Sheets are perfect for absorption and will provide you with up to 60% reduction of mid and high range frequencies. Please call for more information 866 505 6883

  • Great thanks a lot man..i gonna really think about getting some of this product

  • I have really thin walls connecting my bedroom to the communal living space and bathroom. Noise comes through as if there isn't even a wall. I can hear whispered conversations in the next room. Would you recommend this particular product in your lineup? Also, this wall has a door.

  • Absolutely. You will need a double layer of Audimute Sheets. This will help cancel those whispered conversations coming from the next room. I hope to serve you. Contact us at 866 505 6883 to discuss more in detail or visit our website at audimutesoundproofingdotcom. Thank!

  • So my room is right above my parents room and i cant play my drums because of the noise through the floor what should i do about that??

  • Thanks for your comment. Please call so we can discuss. Audimute Sheets will not suffice the amount of noise going through the floor. However, Peacemaker Insulation material will work best. Call for more details. 866 505 6883

  • how do you 'hang it on the wall'?

  • By using our Megaclips. Sturdy and durable, these little clips will hold one sheet. Normally two per sheet. Thanks!

  • ok so this is my deal. I have my drums in my basement, and its goes through the whole house, so i want to put it in a storage room where it might be a little quietter. my problem with that is that it is concret walls, floor and ceiling. will this work well for me?

  • Thanks for your interest. Audimute Sheets double layer will help enable better musicianship as well as keeping the mids and high range frequencies under control. We encourage you to call to discuss. We will be happy to lead you to the correct product. 866 505 6883

  • How will this do against a home theater system, and a booming sub-woofer?

  • Audimute Sheets provide an NRC of 0.70 and will absorb mid to high frequencies in your home theater to reduce echoes and reverberant noise. Or check out our acoustic panels that have a higher NRC of 1.15 and are nice decor for a home theater. For the subwoofer, we recommend our Sonipad Vibration Isolation Platform to isolate the subwoofer from the ground and reduce the vibration. Call our experts first to ensure a good fit for your sound application. Glad to help 866-505-6883 toll free.

  • would it be useful for an apartment not to make neighbors mad or roomates not so much roomates tho...???

and how many sheets do u need to proof the whole room?

also im a hard hitting drummer and i have a good kit how sound proof r these things...

  • Soundproofing with Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets is really easy. Hang them such that are exposed directly to the sound source and that is pretty much it. Most of your mids and highs will be gone! Some lows may persist, but we make Peacemaker for low frequency isolation. Also recommend Audimute Drum Pads to minimize drum head and cymbal vibration. Call our experts first to ensure a good fit for your sound application. Glad to help 866-505-6883 toll free.

  • Hi, I have I play guitar quite loudly in my bedroom. If I place auimute against the wall that separates from my next door neighbours, would it help to reduce the sound that they hear? Can you put audimute on the floor as well? (under a carpet). Does it work on doors or hanging over a doorway?

How can I get this product in the UK?

  • Forgot to mention. Keep in mind that soundproofing a wall with Audimute Sound Absorption Sheets is soundproofing a wall with the same material that is in Audimute Panels, the companies premier product line.

  • Before buying a Sound proof solution treatment. It is important to ensure that the sound proof solution fits your application regardless of price. (Cost on the sound absorption sheets are about $20 - $25 ish and includes shipping) I would call our sound proof solution pros first so that you purchase the right sound proof solution or product for your needs. Very friendly helpful folks are here to help ... 866-505-6883 Toll Free. Audimute traditionally ships same day. Thanks again.

  • how much is it per sheet and how can i get some please?
