In this last episode yes she finally becomes selfless enough to put inuyasha and the gang first but every other episode it was always about her. I want to kill naraku, I want to become an ordinary woman, i want inuyasha to be with me because I like him. Honestly all this I and me all the time got me rlly fed up with her. I do feel bad that she died but honestly i like kagomes selfless love a lot better.and ps. more in a relationship? my ass. who was by inuyashas side for all 167 episodes?
@oreoxxmiho Well my theory is that when her soul came to "greet" them, the part that was actually Kikyo's soul went back into Kagome. The rest (other dead souls like Midoriko's) were purified and got to go to heaven :)

You have deep love for a girl, and you still have loose ends (they didnt know naraku split them up), you fall in love with another girl, completely different but still as powerful love as with the dead girl... Then she comes back from the dead!! Your heart would be so conflicted...
i used to HATE kikyo sooo much, but this episode made me feel better about her. But what i really don't like or understand is the love line, or Inuyasha's love. He's basically two timing between kagome and kikyo. This part especially shows how much he still loves kikyo soo much, and it just doesn't make sense how he can sill say that he loves kagome...
i didn't cry in this episode. instead, i was happy for kikyo. her soul was saved, she was free, and she still continues to save others. although i was disappointed kikyo didn't end up with inuyasha, i'm glad she could go happy, without suffering anymore.

Kagome is Kikyou's reincarnation, and was brought back to life by the part of Kagome's soul that attached itself... so why is her soul floating up, when it should return to Kagome since that's where it came from and what they explained in the original series??

This is one of my favorite scenes of InuYasha. Not because Kikyo's death makes me happy, definitely not! The reason this is one of my favorite scenes is because of how powerful it is. It's been a while since the last time a show could stir such powerful emotions in me and many other viewers. This is InuYasha.
She may have not been my favorite character but I still liked her, maybe not from the beginning but it didn't matter. No matter what she always put someone else's life first. This was so fucking sad, I can't get over it. I didn't like her at the beginning of the series (the first time I watched it). Then I read the manga and understood her character and when she died I cried like a baby, and now watching this with the music and everything it's just so adkasñdkasñd, my heart hurts.

This was a really sad episode. At first I thought that Kikyo was a horrible person but throughout the episodes, I started to like her. I kinda thought that Kikyo WOULD die but I didn't think she would die because of Naraku's miasma. Now I feel bad for Inuyasha because he had to watch her die. Poor Inuyasha.

i never really hated her, but i gotta giv it to kikyo, she never fell in love with any other man besides inuyasha. and what made it bittersweet to me was that when she kissed him before she died, that is what she wanted to do all her life. she wanted to be with him and she never got to. so i cried my eyes out, i used a whole box of tissues on this, but kagome is there now so he wont be lonely.:)

This was a really sad episode. At first I thought that Kikyo was a horrible person but throughout the episodes, I started to like her. I kinda thought that Kikyo WOULD die but I didn't think she would die because of Naraku's miasma. Now I feel bad for Inuyasha because he had to watch her die. Poor Inuyasha.
