Too loud? part 2

Not even close to loud. I've got 3in pipe true dual straights (no cats or mufflers, for the morons who don't know what an actual straight pipe is) all the way back into 4 1\2in tips and its so god damn loud you can't here your self think if your behind me, I get in trouble alot around town and school cause someones car alarm is always going off lol

never too loud!, my uncle has a 2006ish 2500 HD Chevy. He has no cat and runs 3.5 straight back with 4 inch tips. frikin awesome

na man just right the cats tone it down just enough, as far as loud its about the noise level of a truck with glaspacks or somethin an no cats, but cats an no muffler is cheaper an sound just as good. mine has glasspacks an no cats and sounds good but bought it that way or would have went straight with cats if it still had em other wise i would have went with flowmaster and no cats. but i like it.

well if any of em get less than 13 then somethin is wrong, but in a 350's time when they were new it was the best 1/2 ton fuel mileage, my 93 gets a little better than the vortec due to less power but more torqe in my tbi, mine gets around 14 15 overall an highway maybe 16 17, but when you look at it ford's 302 f150 didn't do as good as the 350 chevy and dodge 360 was about like the 302 an 351 ford was not close, so for it's time it was good. an if you want 30 mpg buy a car. so not a gas hog.

My dad had a 95 Chevy one ton with flow master exhaust. It had a 454 big block.. point is when he got the truck it got about 15-16 mpg. he was busy with work so he took it to the dealer to get an oil change and after that the truck only got 13 at the absolute most and 8-9 average!! NEVER TAKE YOU CAR/TRUCK TO THE DEALER!!!!!

@kgriggs75 u can gut them and run a pipe thru them and keep the impression that you have cats cause the 5-0 aint going to cut them off and look in them, unless they do an emissions test

nah sounds just fine i think, and i know what you mean by no weight in the back lol, i have a 97 Sierra with a posi rear end and anytime the roads are messy it spins like crazy even just letting up on the clutch

i have a truck similar to this one. mines a 97 z reg cab sb and i have true dual straights on it from the cats back and 4x16 tips. its louder than my friends 94 and he has no cats but his true duals turn into a single for about 3 ft and then back to duals and thats y mines louder. i want to get the cats cut off.

Too loud? My 95 Sierra has no cat or muffler, and it exits under the cab. Now that's loud, i'm putting in a glasspack and turndown to extend it and quiet it up.
