My grand father ww2 veteran was in Normandy france on june 6 th 1944, when i was a young boy he told me bits and pieces of the war . he mostly told me of Italy and Chateau france. just places hes been too. my grandfather passed away in 1996 aged 85. thanks grandps for helping make the world a better place.
Thank God for Canada, America had our hands full in Europe and the Pacific, we needed more brave men and Canada stood ready to help not only us but the rest of the Allies! Many thanks from Michigan!
I appreciate the respect and heart, but you must know that Canada were in ww2 as early as 1939 so basically we had our hands full with hong kong italy and france in 1944 and thank you guys as well for the help.
Canada is the BEST Country in the world. These Guys made our country the way it is today. Thank you to all the War vets out there especially canadian war vets. God bless and hope that we will always remeber you. Both my Grandfathers were Canadian Navy Vets and my step grandfather was worked at a candian M*A*S*H centre in ww2
Canada is a great country. Im from US and lived there for 6 months. There seems to be vary little rascism. Seems to be one of the very few countries where jews are not hated.
@mdg1117 I have a small story to go along with yours:
I have lived in the US (I moved from Canada) and I have got nothing BUT racism for being Jewish. Its because of tolerance that my grandmother chose it to escape from the Nazis.
god bless them, when you hear about WWII it is always about america and not about the other countries that served there is no words that can discribe how brave they were
my grandfather was shot in Italy during WW2, wasnt killed, thank God, i still never met him cause he died like 4 years after i was born, somewhere around 1995, not sure though...i would have loved to meet him
