@LittleMissMetal13 Actually they say if you take really good care of them, they can live to be up to 15-20 years, the oldest snake the people I have talked to have seen was 20! ;)
@CornSnake78 yeah just leave till after she'd because while in shed there spare skin would go over there eyes making it blury so Thats why it ain't eating because it don't know what it is
hey my corn has had the blue eyes for 3 days now they gone but he still hasnt shed how long does it usually take he missed his feeding yesterday so feed him after he sheds?
@winterbeauty1991 Leeroy is 1.5yrs old now.. he's over 30" long. I have one other snake a Mexican Black Kingsnake, you can see videos of him on my channel as well.
My baby corn snake just shed while he was cuddling up under my shirt. He used my jean belt loops to catch it. I flipped when I looked down to find him shedding, but it was awesome! Very nice snake, and awesome name for him!
ok im getting a baby corn snake this week and do u have any good colors i should pick and any names i need a reply fast i might get tank tonight and snake tomorrow
@delhiskatingdays For me, the name really depends on the snake's personality. Before I named my corn "Leeroy jenkins" I thought to let him earn his name. So on his first feeding, he utterly failed and bit the mouse in the butt instead of the head lol. That was when naming him after the funny/failed/famed World of Warcraft player Leeroy Jenkins came to mind. :)
As for what color? I've always loved the snakes with red eyes.
@yang4evr ok thanks im gonna get a snow corn if he is a good killer snowball if he constricts well then i will name him something else make an update vid on leeroy
I think my corn is getting ready to shed, is they're any signs of him getting ready to shed? His eyes have gotten blurry and his scales aren't as shiny.
What a gorgeous snake. Just one tip for you; you should provide more rough surfaces for the snake to begin to break its skin. It looked like it was struggling to get it off. Nice video, by the way. Keep it up.
hi i just got one can you tell me whena corn snake sheds like every like 7 months or something i just wanna know cuz "mickey" my baby corn snake is like 4 months
@cupcakeloverlove Baby corn snakes usually shed about once a month (fed once every 10 days). It's all about growth rate. If you feed them a lot, they will grow faster... which means shedding more often.
@cornsnakebros12 A day or so before you snake is ready to shed, his skin color will get pale and his eyes will look foggy instead of the usual clear eyes. For my snakes it usually happens like this: snake color gets pale and eyes frost out > 1 or 2 days later... color goes back to normal > 1 or 2 days later the shed happens... your snake's color is extra vibrant and "fresh".
@USFProjekts Yah its normal lol, mine did that. Best to leave them alone for a week, then handle them (even if they hate it) for five minutes every day for a week then up it to ten etc. You gotta tame them, handling isnt natural to them :)
I got a snake 3 days ago shes a month old, when i try to pick her up for handling, she doesnt let me and goes off like crazy, is this normal? should i leave her longer to get used to her vivarium?
@casper4907 Yup, they aren't too shy afterwards, you can pick them up as usual. However, before they shed... while they are a little pale, you should leave them a lone for a few days to allow them to shed.
That's so amazing, mine sheded yesterday and I just realized that less than half an hour ago, you have a beautiful corn!

LittleMissMetal13 2 weeks ago
@LittleMissMetal13 It certainly depends on how well you care for it. But I've read upwards of 10 years.

Do the snakes get bigger with each shed?
mcm242 1 month ago
@mcm242 Yes, it's one of the main reasons why they shed.. they've sort of outgrown their old skin.

@xRainbowDashh my snake usually sheds 1-2 days after the cloudy color stage. He gets cloudy, then a little closer to normal color, then he sheds.
