Goes to show that the Japanese have 10x better voice actors compared to anyone over in north america I guess. This song is beautifully sung. Kyoko Hikami has a wonderful voice, and as I've said a million times before, Noriyuki Iwadare is one of the most talented composers ever.

now... Remake Eternal blue and magic school, and then give us something new that features the wonderful battle system that was not in Dragon Song...

Why couldn't they have used the original English lyrics in the English version like they did with the Japanese? It made it so hard for me to enjoy the game because I can't get used to the different lyrics and I love the original song so much ;w;

The company that shut down was Working Designs. They shut down for having too big of a dream, and put so much into production costs if half of America bought their last game, they still couldn't have recovered what they put into making it. They were that devoted to quality.

the music for this remake sucked ass, and so did the voices. Nall's voice was annoying, Luna's didnt even SOUND right, and I dont even want to hear Ghaleon.

PS1 version=epic, hands down

Also... if you go to the official site, you can hear clips of the voices. I can handle most of them, but Nash seems like he will be off (but I will wait and see... one line is hard to judge from).

The worst, I think, is Kyle. I want to slap the actor after hearing just one line.

I know I should be upset at Game Arts for yet ANOTHER remake of a game they made years ago, instead of a proper sequel. But, I can't. Silver Star just never gets old for me. The story and characters are timeless. The gameplay...eh, not so much. But that's OK. ; )

Besides, you get to bash heads in with Hell Mel this time around. XD

I played the demo today.

Early thoughts:

1) It's Lunar. Lunar always=awesome.

2) I don't like Niall's new voice.

3) I don't like the new lyrics for the theme song. I hope the boat song is done better.

4) Almost 20 years after first playing it, I still have an emotional connection to these characters.

@Arnabas315 agreed with all of those points. i love lunar i have the silver star story box set, its one of my favorite games of all time, im playing the demo right now and im geeking over the fact that they are remaking this. i hate nalls new voice, but wasnt he a guy in the first one anyway? new lyrics, eh, love the old ones, got them on my ipod ^^. and i still love all the characters, just wish i could of beat the game though XD stupid volcano...

Yeah, Nall was (is) a guy, but in the original, he was voiced by a girl (IIRC), which worked, because he is supposed to be young...

@Arnabas315 ya i loved his voice now its just kinda bleh. and as i play more i noticed that the ice cave is alot easier in this than it was in the origanal which i kinda like cause i always had a ton of trouble with the ice crystal things and whatnot

He was also voiced by a girl in Silver Star Story. I haven't heard his new voice yet, though.

Yeah, I knw, but the female voice worked for a young, "cute"-type character. His voice now is just sort of "generic young male". It really doesn't work for me, but of course, others might love it. Some may go back to the original game after a first experience here and HATE the old voice.

Nall's character is a guy, but he was voiced by the same actress who did Mia in the first English release. The remake used the same actor as Shinji Ikari from Evangelion. Personally, I like seeing a male actor in the part. It was an odd disconnect when the female Ruby in EB had a deeper voice than the male Nall. But that's just me.

@reggae1188 i heard that they changed up the lyrics a bit. there are people who don't like the new lyrics - a lot of the diehard fans, but i think that they are both good and enjoy both songs because i love lunar!
