  • Paul's reaction in Gal1:8-9 was indignation over the false teachers, upon whom he now pronounces a solemn curse."But even if we,or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we preached to you,let him be accursed. As we have said before,so now I say again,if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you receive, let him be accursed."There are great flaws in our modern day presentation of the Gospel & these must be corrected.

  • The context is this, it's about the slaves and the masters. The principles of this passage apply today in terms of submission to any lawfully constituted authority, the only exception being if such a lawfully constituted authority were to require a believer to disobey or compromise God's word and his commitment. It would be natural for Christian slaves to despise their earthly masters in the name of their heavenly one;however fulfilling one's earthly obligation is,in fact, service to the Lord.

  • @leandro7821 Hello.

I once heard that Bo Sanchez receives e-mails from people who thinks his works are incorrect or inappropriate (like you), about 3-5 times a week. While Bo receives about 1000 e-mails from people who thanks him for the blessings he has shared. He gladly ignores those other e-mails, why? Because they are irrelevant.

    Have a nice day.

  • @PROTOGgouki Hi. Thanks for commenting.

Well, Jesus accused the biblical teachers of his day of not knowing the Scriptures (Mt.29:29, Lk.24:45) and declared , "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me,yet you refuse to come to me to have life" (Jn.5:39).

Jesus teaches us to read and preach the Bible. It is not chiefly about heroes or lessons in life, but the revelation of Christ. (cont)...

Scriptures provide God-centered and divinely-revealed wisdom for life, but if this were its primary objective,Christianity would be a religion of self-improvement by following examples and exhortations, not a religion of the Cross. The Apostle Paul point with the Corinths, whose obsession with wisdom and miracles had obscured the true wisdom and the greatest miracle of all.And what is that?Paul replies,"He has been made for us our righteousness, holiness&redemption" (1Cor1:28-31).

  • @leandro7821 dude!!! sounds great!

"If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing."

    -1 Corinthians 13:2

it seems that you knew the scripture, then you might knew the word respect.

  • 1 Cor 13:2,what does it says? Even if a person has all the spiritual gifts he can ever possess, but do not have love,Paul says, he is a big zero.Paul is using a hyperbolic speech here.A hyperbole is an intended exaggeration to bring across a certain point. So, Paul is not saying that he is able to speak in angelic tongues or understand all mysteries, or to have all knowledge, or to move a mountain. He is saying that even if he can do all those things and does not have love, he is nothing.[Part1]

  • @cyberscum Why did you use 1Cor13:2? Do you know what it's content, in full context?

Take note: A TEXT, TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT IS A PRETEXT FOR A PROOF TEXT... [Part2]

  • @cyberscum I highly respect the Scripture. You see,the outward person of the messenger does not validate his message;rather, the nature of the message validates the messenger. [Part3]

  • @cyberscum

We must not tell chiefly of people, of their faith as an attracting example and

of their sins as a repelling example, but we must tell of the revelation of the

    grace of God in Christ.

If the Christianity is to ever recover from the maladies that has it laying on its death bed, then it must first recover the Gospel first preached by Jesus and the apostles. It must recover a Gospel that is always free, but never cheap. [Part4]
