The marines were wonderful, and found they had a wonderful sense of humour and interesting outlook on life.

The point I am attempting to make is that without the support Marines (everything other than 03XX), infantry could not do their jobs. Every Marines job is to support the grunts, but without the beans bullets bandaids, grunts are non-operational.

I was stationed in 29 Palms from 1982 to 1985. I was an instructor at MCCES CEOS ROTS.

I enjoyed it and the desert. Used to fly out of 29 Palms (the town) over to Yucca Valley in a Cessna 172, land at the air strip there and taxi right up to a great Mexican restaurant and eat some great chow.

Now I'm home here in NYC. Member of MCL, AMVETS & AL. We all support you 110%!!!
