man i just got my new s3700's and this x1700 mixer. my old mixer is a numark something and a basic cd players. wow I feel dumb with so much technology. even after reading the instr. @RICKREMAX You have one of the best problems. I'd love to have that setup. I have a behringer DDM4000 and a Denon SC-2000 midi controller with Traktor Scratch Pro. Ableton Suite 8 with APC40, Akai MPD18, and Komplete 7. I'm pretty new, and trying to figure out how to work with all of this software and midi mappings. All I can say is this is the most fun I ever had. Good luck, and do it for the fun of it!

waste of money buy axis 9s turntables 12 fx in each table and all u need is a kill switch scratch mixer with gd lasting fader and your sorted trust me 8 year experiance lol

@deejaystyle1 Thanks for the comment. For some people the Axis9 might work out just fine. We have a lot of viewers and subscribers interested in high end equipment so we bring them these videos that are asked for over and over. There's just some things you cannot do on an inexpensive mixer and $200 cd players that can be achieved on a mixer with the creative possibilities like the 1700 and the matching 3700 cd decks. Could DENON DN-X1700 or DENON DN-X1600 be used with three or four physical decks and Traktor Scratch Pro without AUDIO 8 DJ? Thanks

@s0530221 One the 1700 and 1600 are traktor certified, yes. The 1600 is pretty much ready to go out of the box as far as DVS settings. It took us just a few minutes to set it all up.

The faders are way better, the pots feel way better, it sounds better, it has got an effect-section more, the midi-options are way better.

@DjBrianProductions Hey Brian. I have played through both my DJM-800 and the DN-X1700 mixers through my EAW Avalon system and to be honest - they are so close, it's not funny. They are both crystal clear, robust, and full sounding. Yes, the stock Flex Fader in the X1700 is better than the 800 (which will accept an Innofader !) but I think with either mixer, you are a winner!

You can apply one of each of the 2 effects to different channels, but only 2 - where with the sound color, you can apply to all 4 at a time.

I'm on the point of upgrading my djm909 for a 4 channel midi/mixer to run Traktor & my CDJ1000MK3. Do you think this would replace a DJM800 and a AudioDJ 4. Seem like you have glitchy waveforms also on your uni-body mac also. One reason why i can't use Serato. Most annoy thing in the world about Serato. All the new macbook Pros have glitchy waveforms with Serato.

The DNX1700 will do just about everything the EVO can plus a bit more.

That roll up and down effect is pretty much on the 700 only.

You can use the controls to shop up a loop, but that up and down sound is Pio.

It's a real shame Denon chose to lock four of the inputs to RIAA turntable only.

There are no switches to change them to line as there are on the DN-X1500, so although there are 8 inputs, you only get to use four of them - unless you happen to have four turntables!

Another thing they're removed compared to the X1500 is the sampler. High end mixer with two FX sections but no sampler?

I dont believe in "Semi-midi", the djm800 has midi, buth it just doesnt do the job. I think the price is the ownly bad point on this mixer, the Xone 92 is like 300 dollars cheaper. Buth stil its looks like a good mixer, lets wait and see how the sales are going :)

I hear where you are coming from Subaru. For the money, the Behringer is full featured and we may start carrying them soon. However, build and sound quality, the Behringer couldn't keep up with this mixer. It's just not the same class. If it were, dont you think Behringer would be charging $1500 for the DDM4000?
