Hey bunnypoo you never showed us your grouping. Please post a target with your hits next time you go to the range.Your stance looks good and you handle the recoil pretty good. How about letting us see that adorable face a little more to.Thanks.
@killahaze916 I, for one, agree with you. I point mostly to the sight design. That gun is wearing the white outline sights that come standard on a Glock; I don't even think white outline sights exist for the M&P. Those sights are also short, GI-style blocks (can be seen at the end of the video), unlike the Novak-style sights that all M&Ps accept.
I'd also consider it pretty unlikely that she changed out the sights since it's one of her first times shooting.
I have skinny arms too but im a guy and im 15, wuld anybody reccomond me shooting this, I wanna shoot a good gun with atleast 10 or 11 bullets but not lots of recoil
@kokekane96 It's easy to start off with a 9mm pistol for first time shooters. I would recommend firing the "Baretta 92fs" for practice. It's what I use in the Army and it's a very easy and safe pistol to use. Any 9mm pistol has around the same recoil so there's not really any recommendation I can give you on, that but try it out. You'll have a lot of fun learning how to shoot. Firearms are a great hobby of mine.
Some advice on shooting this gun bunnypoo that will help you compensate for the recoil. You are locking your arms straight out. Pull your arms in just a bit. Then push a little with your right arm and pull a little with your left. Will make all the difference. You will be much more accurate and the recoil will keep from knocking you off target. Try it :-)
Its all in the grip. If you grip it with your off hand locked down(like a firm hand shake grip) thumb high up on the slide pointed at the target muzzle flip will be minimal.
One more thing...I noticed that your stance isn't aggressive enough. Lean forward a bit so when you experience the recoil of the pistol, it won't push you back off balance.
A couple words of advice: work on your forward thumb grip and your stance. Focus on your front sight and make sure it lines up dead center of your rear sights. Also, if the compact allows you to switch out your grip, you should switch it to a size that is comfortable for the fit of your hand. I know the full size smith allows you to switch out the grips.
@pzlehr777 Yes, I didn't shoot too well. If you read the video description, it was one of my first few times of shooting a gun, everrrr. I was hesitating and anticipating the recoil so much that I did horrible. It's been over a year since I added that video... I'm better now :) @leroy592 I did hit the target, but bulls eye or anything. Not bad for a beginner though!
i wish i could shot pistols.. i am (not to brag) an amazing shot with rifles (30-30s mosin nagot's my fav) and skeet shooting but cant shoot a tree 5 feet away with a pistol :P
I love shooting shotguns and rifles, I do very well with them. I think I do well with them because of the way they rest by my cheek and in my shoulder... it keeps them steady. I havent been skeet shooting yet... I've been dying to go!
I like mine alot. I have a G19 and the M&P fits the hands much better. You ever try a single stack 1911 9mm like an EMP 9mm? I'm thin too and need a thin gun to conceal.
Yup, I actually own the full size MP 9mm. It was a nice gun to practice on. But, It's so hard to conceal, especially with me being so petite. I'm looking to trade it in for a Glock 26.

Enjoy learning more later about your firearms. Always something new to try... I instruct people and like it when someone experiences a new challenge.

She can't shoot too well....did she hit the target at all?

@pzlehr777 I was wondering how she did too? They should've shown the target. It didn't seem like she had good trigger control.

haven't tried the EMPs before... I'll look into that. I've been looking into the Kahr or Keltecs recently for concealment.

did you clench your butt cheeks with each shot? i would think so with that recoil those skinny vegan arms were allowing. push forward next time

bunny, How was the kick on recoil I just bought the Compact of course Im about 2x your size but noticing recoils has a punch

eh, I don't mind it. But then again, I'm used to it now.

Have you fired the fill sized MP 9mm? Might be worth checking out even if it is a bit bulky to be your concealed weapon.
