this is indeed interestingly executed, however some details of the sound should be given more attention, since the result is far from perfection, and im sure with a guitar like this, with such a unique sound, those details can make a huge difference
I love Grondona, he is an amazing guitarist but I think this interpretation of Albeniz is a bit overwhelming and eccentric at parts. Torre's interpretation is absolutely stunning I have to say.
Jose Rey De La Torre made a recording of this piece. TO ALL GUITAR STUDENTS AFFICIONADOS, PLEASE GIVE AN OPEN MIND AND LISTEN TO 'his recordings' ALSO....
Jose Rey De La Torre is RIP,...Mercy on His Soul, succumbed to ADVANCED ARTHRITIS many, many years ago - Was a Miguel Llobett
dear maestro sorry for my english i have heared your torre bermeja and i am very glad whith your ejecución,I have put my ejecución ,that is not so well than your´s but it is intresting too thank´s Alejandro rivera
Why not? All good artists bring something valid to their craft, whether they are the most familiar in their field or not. Agreed that Julian Bream and John Williams are absolute masters of the guitar, but that is not to say that others can't bring their own ideas/personality to bear on this music. Let there be no doubt; this guy is fantastic.
Guy has very good tecnique but while i appluad for the daring and different interp, it's a bit bitty and listener looses the plot for a few seconds sometimes.
But it's good to have exploration and innovation so well done.
there are some things about this i really love. but then i find my mind wandering sometimes. but im pretty sure i really enjoy this. he has more soul than john williams. But JW definitely plays this better when you talk about technique.
The guitar was made by J. L. Romanillos in years 2003/2005 and named "La Culé", spruce top and maple back and ribs. It's not owned by Grondona, he is playing it just for this concert.
look no one matches john williams and segovia on their right hands. both masters could produce very deep tonal notes, they didn't just play the guitar but they infused the souls into the music, they really played the music.
really good! Miguel Llobet's is my favorite version! does anybody know if there's a tab online?

I agree in that I love JW"s version also, but this is Llobet's version and I believe he's trying to be faithful to that transcription.
