I would not recommend getting this player. It works for a short while and then something messes up. I had mine for about 6 months and then screen started acting up. It stopped for a bit. And then about another 6 months later. It got the White Screen of Death. I have tried to fix it. And still does not work.

in terms of value the zune would probably be cheaper at this point 8gb zen $100 120gb zune $250 or 230 somewhere... but since your comment is a month old hope you bought the one you wanted...

not all that great...sansa fuze is way better and with the zen, you have to keep pressing buttons but you just use the circle on the fuze and it is much faster
it sucks - after a while, i have it for about a year and when u turn it on the screen is white. U can hear music playing, u can navigate trough the menu if u remember where hings are. Many of my friends have the same problem, and they dont know how to fix it. I can restart the player with a needle in the hole but i cant do that always when im running for an examle. And currently everyday they are getting rid of DRM so I can share music with my friends. Apple still has another 200,000 songs to turn into DRM. Also, there is software where you can erase DRM from itunes music and you can wrap it up into a mediafire so your friends can have your music.

well, it's still nice because it really gives us a view of how it looks like to browse through each mp3 player. The Creative Zen is a good brand if your looking for an alternative to the ipod. But to be truthful I like the ipod, sure it's not flawless but most mp3 players aren't. The zune is nice, but the only problem is that you can only play purchased songs from the zune marketplace.
I still must disagree, Creative dropped the ball HUGELY with this player. ALMOST EVERYTHING about the player is nice, the screen, album art, video, good colorful graphics, nice menus, etc... BUT... your SD card is not INTEGRATED as part of your library!!! So if you have a 2GB Zen, and you get a 16GB SD card, those songs that are on your 16GB card WILL NOT APPEAR in your library, or list of artists and albums. You will only be able to view the files like a plain list. Sandisk Fuze DOES INTEGRATE
Also my point is that this is not a review, no features are discussed. This is just a demonstration. I was looking for a review here at youtube but get sidetracked by members who incorrectly label their videos. I still appreciate the demo, but the video could be better labelled.
It's not really a matter of "liking" SD cards. It is that 16GB SD card costs $30 right now. And it costs probably an extra $80-$100 to upgrade the Zen from 2GB to 16GB. So it is a matter of economics, not preference. The Sansa Fuze integrates your SD card music to your library, and has a circular selection wheel for navigation, rather than doing a bunch of "clicking" around the interface.
i've been hearing these stuffs about White Screen of Death? can someone explain to me what it is, and does it really happen to the Zen, ways to solve it, etc..
and some users have been saying that it freezes, video playback is poor (supported formats not as mentioned)..

you can delete and edit the radio presets. i currently only have 5 stations preset, the rest are empty. i'd tell you how to do it, but if you are smart enuff to upload to youtube, then im sure you can figure out the radio presets....

creative zens suck!!!!! I bought an 8 gb and it stopped working after a few months they had horrible techinical assistance and it cost me money to call about a refund it wasn't a toll free number! after i recieved my replacement mp3 player i had the same problem with it about 3 weeks after igot it iam still waiting for my 2nd replacement

Do not get a sony walkman! They are horrible. Sansa's are good. The fuze is a great deal, but too me ZEN is the best it has a bigger screen for about the same price. Thats the only difference
Sony Walkman (NWZ-A720, A810, A820) aren't really horrible. It has great sound and video quality, and headphones are nice...BUT putting videos on it can be very complicated (based on personal experience).
But if I could choose another player besides my Walkman, I'd definitely go for ZEN. It also has great sound quality, a high-resolution screen, and has a lot of features.
I've had the 2 gb one for bout a year now and I have been very satisfied. The video quality is good (although converting videos to a specific codec can be frustrating) but the pictures are gorgeous. It preserves almost the exact same quality that was on your computer screen. Not to mention you can stuff in an sd card if you run out of space. I definitely recommend this if you want something with songs, video, and pictures.

I tried using a blackberry wall charger with this and it worked perfectly. They don't even give you a charger, all you get is a mini usb cable.

I have one, I love it, I love my Ipod, but this is so much better for watching my little movies and funnies, I love the fact that with the card I can expand it to as big as the SD card is :D

Ya, their crappy itunes sucks. It's hard to organize your music, and as soon as you plug in your ipod, it just throws every song you have on to it, I hate it.

like i bought a creative zen and i kept it perfect then the next day i turned it on and it just said sorry your hardrive is overloaded and i had 2 songs for 8gb dont buy it ipods are wayyyyyyyyyy better

creative zens suck!!!!! I bought an 8 gb and it stopped working after a few months they had horrible techinical assistance and it cost me money to call about a refund it wasn't a toll free number! after i recieved my replacement mp3 player i had the same problem with it about 3 weeks after igot it iam still waiting for my 2nd replacement

Do not get a sony walkman! They are horrible. Sansa's are good. The fuze is a great deal, but too me ZEN is the best it has a bigger screen for about the same price. Thats the only difference

Sony Walkman (NWZ-A720, A810, A820) aren't really horrible. It has great sound and video quality, and headphones are nice...BUT putting videos on it can be very complicated (based on personal experience).
But if I could choose another player besides my Walkman, I'd definitely go for ZEN. It also has great sound quality, a high-resolution screen, and has a lot of features.

I've had the 2 gb one for bout a year now and I have been very satisfied. The video quality is good (although converting videos to a specific codec can be frustrating) but the pictures are gorgeous. It preserves almost the exact same quality that was on your computer screen. Not to mention you can stuff in an sd card if you run out of space. I definitely recommend this if you want something with songs, video, and pictures.

man i had 2 creative players zen microphoto and another small 256mb player they both had a shit load of distortion samsung has no distortion at all i paid $200 dollars for the microphoto i got ripped off creative is just cheap version of ipods that suck ass
