  • After hearing from both sides at a well attended debate Councilman Rosendahl endorsed Measure B.

    From Rick Orlov 1/19:

"It's time we break our addiction for fossil fuels and start curbing the effects of climate change. Measure B takes a step in the right direction by harnessing the sun's energy right here in sunny Southern California. The future is now and the future is bright. Los Angeles can lead the way in soon becoming the solar capital of the United States." Rosendahl said.

  • Three L.A City Council members have come out against it. Rosendahl made a political decision not to buck the IBEW union that controls the LADWP. The issue is not whether or not to have solar, as much as Working Californians, the advocacy group, headed by the IBEW union, wants to make it, but rather how it is to be implemented. Solar is underway right now with or without Measure B. Laura Chick said " .the whole process of bring this Measure B to the ballot stinks." She is voting against it
