@Reddinotoby Don't sweat it. That happened to me w/my 1st baby but after he weaned it wasn't noticeable & now w/baby #2 I have the opposite side doing that. Disfiguring is a harsh word for it & if it helps any - I have a friend that had a breast size change in one breast w/o ever nursing. It's not disfiguring any more than stretch marks are. Breasts are meant for babies & any changes from pregnancy aren't disfigurements - they are truly badges of honor IMO.

@swatus Nope - pregnancy is what causes any sagging or changes - not nursing. They HAVE actually studied it (you can google). So I guess you can choose to live childless & have saggy breasts later in life or choose to have children & have them sag a little earlier. I thought I would have a terrible time, as the water from the shower hurts my nipples, but I never was sore from nursing at all & my nipples seem the same despite almost 4 years of nursing. Now I have had nipple pain from thrush, but that is a totally different thing. Maybe some women have different experiences there.

It has been said that breastmilk can transfer antibodies (that fight illness) from the mother to the child, and the fat in breastmilk is more easily digested than formula. @swatus Nope - pregnancy is what causes any sagging or changes - not nursing. They HAVE actually studied it (you can google). So I guess you can choose to live childless & have saggy breasts later in life or choose to have children & have them sag a little earlier. IDK - not that into perky boobs or looks to have it keep me childless.

@loonmaniac Not sure which post you are referring to, but at least for me it doesn't seem to. I thought I would have a terrible time, as the water from the shower hurts my nipples, but I never was sore from nursing at all & my nipples seem the same despite almost 4 years of nursing. Now I have had nipple pain from thrush, but that is a totally different thing. Maybe some women have different experiences there.

on a side note, the children who breastfed are healthier on average than children who didn't. It has been said that breastmilk can transfer antibodies (that fight illness) from the mother to the child, and the fat in breastmilk is more easily digested than formula.
