Double tonguing would imply a harder 'tuh-kuh' articulation. He is employing a mixture of a 'doodle-oodle' tonguing and sluring with the valves. Easier to do on vales than on Trombone. Can still use doodle tonguing on bone, but the slide makes it harder to go faster.

Yeah...double tonguing's not hard to do on any brass instrument....RIGHT! If you're doing it wrong, and slowly, maybe. Double tonguing THIS fast, properly and cleanly is EXTREMELY difficult.
