Why is it so hard to not get really mad at them. My little guys do this and they get that same look. The one where they don't really look at you. They look around and maybe look at you out if the corner of their eye.

Boston Teriers are the funniest dogs when they know they did something wrong...I have one too and it is really hard to stay mad at them.
