this video covers both gel and acrylic, just file them down. i have another video saying what i do after i take them off. i suggest a buff, then a nail strengthener.

why not acetone?

a few reasons

1. i had non soakable gel on top

2. it takes a looooooooooooong time

3. my skin is very sensitive and acetone dries my skin out so much it almost hurts.

if acetone works for you, go hard! :)

@HeavenlyMakeUp : Why dont u use the steel file machine you got??? it's real faster :D if u want to remove the artificial nails, just take a make-up pad with acetone, then brush on those artificial nails. it will be disappeared :D

thank u 4 the tips , u know i used2 do some thing when i was a little girl that right now i say "" i used 2 do that ??"" i used 2 bit my nails when i feel nervous or scared of any thing , but thank god right now i take care of them , they r weaker than its should be but better than not 2 have nails at all .,., Thanks again

If you want to be able to change your tip color easily apply one thin layer of clear acrylic fist then your chosen color than another layer of clear. That way you do not have to remove you tip.

i got my nails done and i pulled them off not knowing any of this and it hurt like hell some bled a little but now i can get them done again and take care of them they were too long

of course, your natural nails continue to grow under the acrylic/gel. if you take off all the artificial nail your natural nails will most likely be very thin tho, and are more likely to break.

i always cut my nails short after i take off the acrylic.

but if you file them down and keep a thin layer of the acrylic and buff it up, it should look natural and be stronger.
