Have you heard of Deva products? They're based out of NYC but they're products for naturally curly hair. I don't know if they are sold in beauty stores outside of the US at this point, but if you can get your hands on them, I really recommend them if you want to wear your hair in its naturally curly state. They're good for hair that has just a slight wave all the way to African hair. You can even search for their videos on youtube. Also, the products are VERY moisturizing and cut down on frizz.

I love frizz-ease! xD Chi heat protectant is ok, but jot worth the price. You should try a sample size anyway, just to get your own opinion. Here in the states you can get it at wallmart, and it's still a bit pricey:/ womp.BadAss necklace btw

It's crazy how much I've changed over the years. When I was younger I used to wash my hair everyday, blow dry (mousse) and curl my hair everyday (& use a ton of hairspray!) now my hair is long down my back and I use nothing but hair dye 2x a year.

Good to know...I have found that the finishing shines look great for about the first 10 minutes on my hair, but after that, it weighs my hair down and makes it so limp so I stopped using them too :-) But, believe it or not, the MAC Fix Plus works amazingly on my hair.

i find the curling wand really annoying, i have one and i always seem to burn my finger tips and i can never get it in the right angle to create a nice curl, but the curls do come out well using it.

Lol at African hair (whatever that is). But I am West Indian-American (mostly) and have really curly, frizzy, thin hair. I recently found a brand called Cantu that uses Shea Butter for moisture, so far I love all the products I've tried. It's pretty inexpensive, too.

there is no such thing as mixed race hair :/ every mixed person has different hair, if you look at samiis natural hair in her video about weave you can see that her hair is alot more afro that white, basically full black hair, that the awesome thing about being mixed, the diversity of looks, if you look at da1andonlymixedqt's hair she has hair that is alot more mixed than sammis whereas samii has bloe eyes and looks alot ore white... ppl dont be ignorant :)

Hey Sam :) lovely video !! I just wanted to comment on one of the reasons for the dryness of Afro-textured hair. Well because the hair is extremely coily or kinky it very difficult for the natural oils from our scalp to go down the hair shaft making it very dry. & also because of the tight coils the hair is very fragile, which is the reason why it breaks so easily. So probably if your dealing with dryness , you could try using a pre-shampoo treatment so that the shampoo doesn't completely stri

i recently tried the herbal essences hello hydration shampoo and conditioners over the summer and i am in love! I have extremely unruly, thick and long hair and i've tried so many expensive products (ie. Frederic Fakkai and salon shampoos) and nothing worked as well as the hello hydration shampoo! I highly recommend it as well, it keeps your hair super soft and immediately detangles your hair :)

I have biracial hair and honestly I think its really cool. I don't have to do anything extra to it besides an occasional combing and some leave in conditioner. Moroccan oil is great, but my favorite thing to do is heated olive oil treatments(best thing in the world for ethnic hair I swear)

Hey....this is completely off subject but I saw one of your favourites videos from may... I think, and I took your advice and bought Maxfactor 2000 calorie mascara....It is Amazing!
