  • Smithing: enhanced to 100, you can now craft draconic armors!

  • Thanks...yeah, it's because my hammer hand is screwed up from an industrial accident. I try to keep my thumb off but dang it if it doesn't slip back up there. Thanks for the reminder.

  • learn to keep your thumb off the top of your hammer its a bad habit and can cause nerve damage

  • where the heaven you can get a anvil, even if i never use it this would be so cool!

  • @levilisko Check around ebay, and do some googling, you may have a blacksmith's guild near you.

  • Tim...the bigger the stock, the larger the hammer. That 1/4" stuff was so small my 1000g hammer would destroy it. That ball pein is 650g. My biggest non-sledge is 1500g. I prefer Swedish style hammers, but your mileage may vary. Smallest is a dishing hammer that weighs 350 grams. Teeny.

  • Tim, gloves just cripple you. If it's too hot to hold, you use tongs, but I only use gloves when I weld.

  • Thank You. I'm banging on a railroad iron and using lump charcoal in the old BBQ grill. Haven't done anything other than bend a few pieces but this is inspiring me. I notice you don't use gloves - Is it safer to not use them? Your hammer is smaller than I thought it would be - I'm guessing you only use as large as necessary for the stock?

  • By the way...best purchase I ever made.

  • Why gag an opera star? :-)

  • Aah... so this is the true sound of a Fontanini anvil, I love it! Most smiths "shut up" anvils, but I really like this one, I'm glad you didn't
