if you are having problem - if you cant press start,its almost invisible white,and you are confused,do double click on windows audio and on Startup type: select Automatic,apply and then go back and press start again,it will lit up !

ok ive tried every thing i can think of, i have a advent 7113 running windows vista home premium, the speaker says it muted but when i click on it to go to volume control nothing happens. Ive tried going to control panel but thats now just a blank window, headphones are no good ive restored it to when it was last working that didnt work. Can anyone help PLEASE!?!?!?!?

Whenever i try to start a service that is stopped it says "Windows could not start the (service) service on Local Computer.

Error 1059: Circular service dependency was specified.

Any ideas on how i can fix? :/ I have the 'The Audio Service is not running' problem and i can't start the plug and play service on device manager

@luvdefleppard1 It may be in hidden icons or you do not have drivers........... another way to open this is go to

Start -> Programs ( or all programs) -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Volume control

see if it gives you that error which is seen in video... if it do...follow the video......but if there is another problem... there can be fault in drivers or device.

To anyone this doesnt help, this worked for me, not sure how long thats gonna last, but anyway ... click "open volume control" on the speaker tab in the bottom of the screen, click "mute all", so the box is checked, then click it again to uncheck the box. Dunno what made me do it, but its been working since.
