  • Palio Fiat are =

  • WTF the ford taurus isn't in australia!!

  • 3:21 I'm sorry, did you say finally be a hit? There are a lot of 04-06 models on the road, even still, I own an 04 myself and every time I drive somewhere I see 2 or more on the road

  • It's body is ready

  • the 2009-present Ford Taurus is assembled in

    Chicago, Illinois, United States

  • I've always loved the Taurus! Glad its back!

  • canry lookalike

  • all the top comments are by ford lmao

  • Comment removed

  • Ford Falcon is soo much sexier and better than this in every way/angle.

  • Her front looks angry... But butt is very nice.

  • Nice car. Except for the tail lights. Those hurt my German eyes.

  • THIS IS THE BEST CAR I EVER SAW!!!

  • is a backup camera standard on limited?

  • I like your unbiased review. you don't sound bought. very rare no a days :)

  • fORD TRYING TOO HARD TO COME BACK!! DAAMGE HAS BEEN DONE

  • Should I be hired by Ford to assist them in evaluating and correcting their models before they are launched, we'd be winning the battle against the Japanese and Europeans. I'm really tired to see how our car industry can't defeat them around the world. After all, a car is a work of art and art is perfectionism in every sense. As a Math PhD student I love sciences and arts. Ford thinks technically, but needs a strong doze of arts for their models, so do the other national brands.

  • I know that a car is more than arts and personal tastes, but by its sight it defines its future, just remember the Pontiac Aztek. The lack of symmetry and well designed and distributed contour lines will ruin a car success in today's world market completely, no matter how good the engine is. In this world It's arts mostly that play the key role in choosing a car for humans are more visuals than thought. You won't definitely go for an ugly model, wont you?

  • @theluchik3 Have you ever been to Europe, you would be surprised by all the ugly cars people buy here, even tough there are prettier alternatives, the exterior look doesn't hold much of a candle compared to how a car performs.Just look at the Japanese box cars, they are carton ugly, but sells a lot, even in America. And the Nissan Juke is way ugly, but is a great performer.

  • Oh my goodness, one more time Ford fails to beat the Japanese models. I can't believe how Ford engineers and designers have created such a disproportional and asymmetric machine model like this. Look at the rear lights and see how ugly and disproportionate they are. Who designed them? They spoil the back sight of the car completely. Compare them to the ones in any Honda's model and see the difference immediately. No words about the front part, flat and long without any art.

  • Yeah the new Taurus is great but the old Taurus was excelent as well. It was the first car that brought arodynamics into a large vehicle.

  • Is it me or are there nats everywhere in this video including inside of the car which is very distracting from this video.

  • ford is the best fuck of rest

  • It might FINALLY be a hit? I guess this young man is TOO young to realize just how many of these cars sold in the 80s and 90s. This is Ford's 5th best selling model in history! Only the F-150, Escort, Model T, and Mustang sold more. And it sold to people who could actually afford to buy and own them.

  • @IrisMG I think you are missing how well toyota and honda cars are build. Ford has finally brought back a good car. They made shitty tauras for a long time. 15 years of shit tauras is really long time for almost anyone. My 99 accord has 274k and still going strong. Ford has to build good cars for atleast for 10 years before honda/toyota owner will consider ford again. It will take decades for ford pinto owners to consider ford again.

I am glad that ford is working hard to earn its name.

  • @gwalia4 What?

  • it looks great in silver. i hate it in black.

  • for a Ford, its FUCKING SEXY

  • 2011 Mustang's new V6 should go into this car; I'm sure many people will appreciate it.

  • '

how come this car do not have a gas in line on the left side as a driver side,,,

this front bumper is too small hole and not enough to get cooler air to the radiator

  • @bestamerica

The fuel door is on the passenger side because the exhaust runs on the drivers side of the vehicle.

The grille openings on the front are more than big enough to cool the radiator.

  • TheZachalope,

    '

1 - fuel gas in hole on left side driver is better than right side,,,

    never drive while empty gas,,,

2 - front grille is still not enough cooler,,,

this car is still not good design, turn DOWN

  • @bestamerica

But in this car, it's a crash safety issue.

The exhaust runs along the drivers side of the car. In the event of a rear-offset crash, the most likely place for fuel to come out of the fuel tank is at the fill inlet. It's more safer to have the fuel NOT hit the hot exhaust pipe in the event of a rear crash.

As for cooling, this is not an air cooled car, it's water cooled. The radiator goes to the lower opening, plus has fans to aid in moving air along the radiator. It's fine.

  • TheZachalope,

    '

    thank explain,,,

but still lousy / poor design this ford taurus car,,,

ford can fix it pipe exhaust smog on right side and gas in hole on left side,,,

    this car is a RECALL,,,

    turn DOWN again

  • @bestamerica

That wouldn't be logical from an engineering point of view. On an FWD/AWD vehicle, the exhaust has to come along the drivers side, as the exhaust manifold is on the drivers side. This is due to the rotation of the crank shaft being clockwise, to be contiguous with the transmission. With this, the pulleys have to be on the passenger side.

  • am i the only one who felt sick to my stomach when i rode in those cars. i think the taurus and the fusions ride was very stiff.

  • This was done in Chicago!!! I am from Chicago.

  • The Taurus se, sel, and limited models have a 3.7 liter v6. It's the SHO that has a 3.5 liter, but it is twin turbocharged.

  • gmc used to be my favorite brand of cars. now it is FORD! YEAH. ford has really improved over the last 1-2 years

  • A good ford! I like!

  • Oh and again nice job with your tags. Trying to catch elderly people or something with those? Last time I checked elderly people don't really use computers. If your really gonna do Ford a favor by helping them sell this car after handing you the keys of this 40K Taurus. Then try to tag people with real full-size competitors. (Who is really gonna research a Mercury Grand Marquis that knows how to use a computer?)

  • Why does the description say it competes with the Mercury Milan? First of all, Ford doesn't compete with itself. Second of all, Millan is a mid-size sedan. Aren't you guys supposed to be informing people with correct information on the car market? Not confusing them!

  • really an excellent choice

  • THAT IS NOT A 40,000 CAR

  • hey just want to point out something... Mr.Wiesenfelder said that the Taurus may finally be a hit....it was a hit in the 90's...then Jack Nasser came along and screwed the Taurus and the whole company for that matter over....

  • Why da hell they be gettin these tall ass people to try out these cars. saying their too small and talking about the head room right?

  • @Simbuilder5 Whats even worse is when they get some tall ass person reviewing a car with a sunroof and complaining about head room. For people who dont know, when you get a sunroof you lose about 2 inches of head room for the roof to slide into itself.

  • @Simbuilder5 Any average sized person can fit in just about any vehicle without a second thought. For us 'tall ass people' its important to know what cars do and don't have enough leg/head room.

  • does it have a mp3 player

  • Yes it does. Standard on all models.

  • I like it! I just wish they put the EcoBoost in a Fusion.. I'd be on that like a fat kid on a smartie.

  • looks like last gen acura TL. front and back

  • I was surprised to here that the Fusion has more rear leg room! I thought it wasn't true but it is!!

  • leave it to Ford to build a full size car with mid sized leg room....

  • Ok in the Descripion box. It's says it competes with the Mercury Milan. Isnt Mercury made by ford, and it's not in the same class as the milan?? It does not compete with the Milan. But anyways this is a really nice car.

  • That must be a mistake! Very cool that you found it.

  • ...this guy is a flake...

  • I saw this new 2010 Taurus recently, and the side of the car that (he made reference to) is "sculpted out" looks very, very sharp in person. So many ppl are still under the belief that this is still a "Taurus," not realizing how far upscale Ford has taken this car. It's now a near-luxury car, and I'm smitten with the SHO version.

  • Much better than camry

  • I just watched CBS. And Found out that Ford passed Toyota, Honda, And all auto makers for reliability. The Fusion, Milan, MKZ. All topped consumer reports.

  • REALLY?!

  • @Catlow20 Hearing some people talk about how crappy american/ford cars are and how they won't even make it to 100,000 miles, you wouldn't get that idea. I've known people that drive their taurus all the way up to 300k miles with routine maintenance. This "ford is crap" myth needs to die

  • Comment removed

  • Um... The Charger? Is the Taurus a Muscle car as well?

A car with a big engine. What a muscle car. huh?

  • A ford that I'd WANT to own... Not this one though but the SHO. Not in silver but more of black or red would be nice and without the shiny rims.

  • This is perfect, except for one major flaw, its "bling bling" chromed out wheels. Lose the chromed wheels and go for something more sophisticated and I will buy this. This car is so elegant and refined until you look at those rims... Chrysler and its disgusting 300C have the wanna-be rapper market covered. Wheels shouldn't shine that much.

  • raaiight...

  • I love the new Taurus, I really want one!

  • @aflatoon98 Yeah! Me, too! The new model looks stylish and it's roomy.

  • $38,000 for a Taurus? Only a fool!

  • lol yep

  • go drive one

  • It could drive like a dream, wouldn't matter the value will plummet in the 1st yr., pass.

  • False, Fords resale value for 2010 on many vehicles passed Honda and Toyotas.

  • why don't they just bring the mondeo over here?

  • the ford mondeo is a ford focus here. The 2000-2007 Ford Focus had the the same body style to the Ford Mondeo, just had different configurations and head and taillights. The design is the same but that is where the similarities end. Try to lay off the Top Gear.

  • Comment removed

  • The ford mondeo has design elements from the focus but they're different. top gear isn't the only one who thinks the mondeo should be over here to replace the fusion. I watch fifth gear but nice try.....

  • That's what i said, they have the same design but they that is where the similarities end. What do you mean it should replace the fusion, it is in the compact car category not midsize, if you were to bring the mondeo here, it would just be the top of the line ford focus what would be the point. People in america are not going to pay 20k for a FWD compact car by ford.

  • Anyways, Top Gear and Fifth Gear are from the same country and serve one purpose, say their bias opinion. They complain about how the Corvette is too american. What the hell does that mean? Jeremy Clarkson will say how the GTR is easy to drive and it is fantastic and in another episode he complains about how it is too easy to drive. They are just stupid.

  • yes true, they're very bias and even boarderline racist against the usa and the usa's auto industry and they can't make up there minds like when topgear reviewed the mazda rx8 . My favorite car reviews are. insideline, carscom, cnet, kbb, mpgomatic, thedriversseat, caranddriver, and fifthgear.!

  • Insideline is like a review for regular drivers, they will give times that are about .3 from the official time. They will 0-60 by just stomping on the gas instead of launching the car. which i guess it good in its own way.

  • what are your favorite car reviewing sites?

  • carandriver, motortrend, motorweek and carscom i guess. Read magazines and stuff.

  • I like that dent on the rear panel! More junk from Detroit that can't match up to anything from Japan.

  • Japanese cars dominant but ford is closer to Japanese quality then any other domestic car company.

  • ballerina move at 0:28

  • I like the Smartphone holder in the console, that's a clever idea. Right now I just use one of the cupholders for my iPhone :).

  • front look good but not the back, however, 38K for Ford? WTH

  • haa are they outta their daamn mind

  • looks nice. it's in a very competitive segment though with the accord, camry, altima, malibu, etc.

  • nice

  • In the description for your 2010 Taurus review, you list the Mercury MIlan as a competitor. The Milan is MIDSIZE, the Taurus is FULLSIZE. Hows about listing the Toyota Avalon or something else??

  • WIth that price I can buy the Genesis luxury sedan.

  • Don't understand why Ford came out with 2 similar vehicles in the same year. Personally I prefer the fusion for it's smaller dimensions and cheaper price tag. The Fusion is also available with AWD and offers lots of value. This Taurus has grown 14 inches in length and 6 inches wider compared with 1990 model.

  • very nice.... but they better imported the mondeo.! wich is pretty big too.. (i know since i drove a taurus on vacation and my parents have the mondeo)

  • Wow. Ford is the first American automaker to implicate a twin turbo system into a sedan or a car for that matter. Just a little disappointed that a car 360 hp only goes to 60 is a mere 5.6 sec

  • Use as company car, replace at 60,000 miles

    had 2006 500

    have 2008 Taurus now/40,000 miles

    will order 2010 this spring.

if they improve as much as they did between 06 an 08 will be very good car

great traction control on 08, 30+ mpg highway

good ride and lots of room. love the Sync option.

2 things don,t like, AC does not cool as should when car is stationary and has loud howling noise on highway and rear windows open.

l Not as fast as my air cooled German car but it has power windows and AC

  • A top class cruiser all the way.

  • a lot of the crownvics size is due to wasted space and over hang. the taurus has just about the same interior space as the crown vic T= Headroom, f/r 39.0/37.8 in

    CV=39.5 in/37.8 in

    Legroom, T= f/r 41.9/38.1 in

    CV=41.6/38.0

    Shoulder room, f/r T= 57.9/56.9

    CV=60.6/60.0

Cargo volume T= 20.1 cu ft

CV=20.6 the taurus is bigger then the new charger

  • Looks pretty damn sweet, if you ask me.

  • I love the gauges and the ambient lighting. (:

  • i think its a good replacement for the crown vic

  • then again, you can't tint the windows on this one and scare people into thinking you are a police cruiser when you drive by them slowly.

  • you can't replace the crown vic... no matter what you try to do

  • guess what? their canceling the crown vic so ummm, its getting replaced

  • No,the Crown Vic will still be availible, but a fleet vehicle only.

  • I wanted Ford to replace the Crown Vic with the Interceptor concept lol

  • Not Impressed

  • it looks way too big. looks like it dwarfs a crown vic :-p

  • You guys should change your description. The Taurus doesnt compete with the Mercury Milan, a smaller midsizer. The Impala is fine, the Toyota Avalon should be listed there instead.

  • ford 500/ taurus, hahaa.

  • tl all the way

  • I like the look of the car. The features inside the car are fine with. The only problem I have with the car is how you sit. I personally like to sit low to the ground like in average car, not sit as high as in a SUV.

  • These sedans are getting taller and longer which is supposed to give drivers a better view of the road, but if every car are sitting taller then people that want to see 10 miles down the road should really get a SUV ...

  • I still hate the price for the Taurus if Ford wanted to be even more competitive they should cut the prices down more.

  • You aren't paying for crap at least, and the Taurus is a full size sedan and in that market of boring cars this one is priced pretty reasonably.

  • Its ok man. U like the Ford Taurus??? I have never driven on but I have heard comments that is really comfi etc. I really like the cabin especialy the ambient light function!

  • Was that a BlackBerry 8830...? I have one!

  • Actually it compares very well. I've seen it up against Accord and Infiniti G37S and they say it's off just slightly. Mostly due to it's weight.

  • Compare it to every other car in it's class. It's at the bottom if its bunch.

  • The shots of it driving up and down the street are just sooo HOT!...A thing of beauty and strength.

  • I am sorry if I did not make myself clear on my comment. I was referring to the quality of the video and not to the quality car and when I posted the comment the image of the review was horrible ( i think becasue I was one of the first to watch it and it had not fully upload the image quality of the vid.) And about the Ford Taurus, I love the car and I think it looks good and the SHO is quite fast and the quality is not bad and FORD is improving on quality a lot.

  • i would never pay $38 grand for a ford..

  • any good reasons?

  • and you're one of those people that just won't shutup..

  • THe new Taurus fails, including the SHO.

  • Why does it fail because its not a foreign pos.

  • You're probably the biggest dumb ass to reply. Why don't you go fuck your mother, you incest fuck.

  • Good Job Ford!

  • Looks like ford put chrome plastic on the inside rings of the guage cluster! Not to smart when it looks like its reflecting light all over the place!

  • thats good, means this car will be turning heads, lol

  • They should have used the Ford Mondeo for America. Now that's a nice looking car, unlike the Taurus

  • the mondeo is alot smaller

  • I think it's big (well, for European standards).

  • we are in america....lol....

  • well it's a ford.... jk
