I HATE that they put so much effort into this relationship, really building it up making it believable (favorite couple for me!) and then...Katherine left the show and now Alex is just...argh, HATE what happens to these two. These kind of scenes are so bittersweet to me now...

I love how Izzie doesn't give up when Alex is being a jerk. If she had given up, they wouldn't have gotten together. Izzie really fought for that relationship, even when there wasn't a relationship there to fight for. And Alex eventually gave in.
I'm so excited to see what happens for them in season 6.
