I dont know why the movie studio had to reboot the series. I thought Eric Bana did a great job as Banner, the director & writer of the first movie should have been the ones getting shown the door instead.
Oh man so many memories I was 6 when my parents took me to go see SpiderMan, than I saw this trailer and I dint know who hulk was but I had a feeling that i was going to love it and I did, now I'm 14 and in 1 year when spiderMan(reboot) comes out, my little brother who will be 4 will watch it

I don't get why people have to force themselves to hate one version if they happen to like the other one. What's wrong with liking both? I think any TRUE Hulk fan will find something to love about each film. The 2003 version focused more on the psychology of the character, (the "daddy issues" if you will) and less on the Smash, and vice versa for the 2008 film. Way I see it, it's simply two different films exploring two different, but equally important aspects, of the same character.

When you see him when he's not standing next to a real human he looks like a shrimpy green midget. When Ang Lee tried to show his Disproportionate arms and legs he fucked it up real bad.

1st hulk was a piece of junk just wasted my money on it.......2nd hulk was a master piece thats how the hulk in the comics//cartoons. Better actors and action and they used the same combat system in the cartoons etc.
I agree with darkdestinationfilm. I loved the intense parts in this one but it did seem to drag on. The new one was much better, but this one was alright. Not nearly as good as the remake though.
This movie maded me anoyed and angry while watching it in theater I was ready to walk out but stuck around to watch hulk smash, only to be more disappointed.
I think the first one could've done alot better. Should've had more action and alot more fight scenes (an actual villain wouldn't have hurt!) The final fight scene is him being drowned by his father who's turned into a giant mass of water. He finally defeats him by doing the very opposite of what the Hulk does, not fighting. I was extremely disappointed. Overall it wasn't as bad as people say but this one being 100x better doesn't help Ang Lee's case at all. I thought Eric Bana was pretty good 2

The reasons for this movie being less than good are 1) Bana's performance, there was nothing to like about him. 2) There was nothing to like about the Hulk, the audience could not identify with him. 3) No clear villain, for Hulk to truly "smash". The Incredible Hulk will fix all of the above.

The only aspects that disappointed me were the Hulk lack of texture and he was way too green. Though, I particularly loved the scenes morphing into another. That was new! Thumbs up for Ang Lee own vision of the Hulk! That's a refreshing thing in movie making nowadays. We have almost nothing else but remakes and sequels. They now make movies based on the same mold: "Only what the public wanna see". What happened to what a director wants the public to see?

Like during a time when the Hulk is running, there's a little square box on the side of the screen showing what the army is doing at that same time he's running. It's annoying because there's two screens and you're not sure which to pay attention to the most :P
I loved the Incredible Hulk television show I can see Edward Norton playing David Banner I think he would make Bill Bixby Proud! I'm glad they keep making the movies at least in some way Bill Bixby lives on.
The reason why I don't like THE HULK by Ang Lee is not because it's profiund...it's because it's boring...I've spent years reading the comics and, I'm sorry, that whole pseudodepth the thai filmmaker gave to the film, as well as putrid cg , helped make the movie forgettable...claiming the ones who did not care aout that filme were BELOW the grandness of the picture is such a self-indulgent type of 'reasoning' it's sickening.
The special effects were no less convincing than Andy Serkis as either Gollum or King Kong. It's not as if I'm the only individual familar with the character gave Lee's full length features it's just desserts and most who disparaged it were nostalgic for the far too dated television series.
The show is 10 timaes better than the Ang Lee film version...learning from their mistakes, the producers of the Ed Norton movie made Banner more like a guy-on-the-lam like the original series (the brand new poster shows a more melancholia-'driven' Banner with a bag walking around), as well as the design of the machine one can see in the new trailer looks alot like the one Bixby utilized when first exposed to the radiation.
The television show is superior? Is it because Ang Lee's adaptation is much more faithful to the comic book and was unfairly maligned? The full length feature did fare well at the box office and did good reviews but "Hulk" never matched the lightweight "Spiderman" in sheer numbers. It wasn't necessary to start with a clean slate after only five years but if Ed Norton and the new cast emulates the television show far too much- I assure you'll they'll tarnish a good reputation.
What are you talking about? The new Hulk is still green. Have you even watched the trailer? Also it doesn't matter if the actor playing Bruce Banner doesn't "seem like the Hulk" The whole point is that Bruce Banner is nothing like the Hulk.

I think the first one could've done alot better. Should've had more action and alot more fight scenes (an actual villain wouldn't have hurt!) The final fight scene is him being drowned by his father who's turned into a giant mass of water. He finally defeats him by doing the very opposite of what the Hulk does, not fighting. I was extremely disappointed. Overall it wasn't as bad as people say but this one being 100x better doesn't help Ang Lee's case at all. I thought Eric Bana was pretty good 2

The reasons for this movie being less than good are 1) Bana's performance, there was nothing to like about him. 2) There was nothing to like about the Hulk, the audience could not identify with him. 3) No clear villain, for Hulk to truly "smash". The Incredible Hulk will fix all of the above.

In my opinion the second hulk movie would suck. The director is an ameteur unlike ang lee who made kick ass films both in asia and north america. I like this hulk version cause it shows hulk of what he really is not a hero but pure rage. :D good job ang lee

The only aspects that disappointed me were the Hulk lack of texture and he was way too green. Though, I particularly loved the scenes morphing into another. That was new! Thumbs up for Ang Lee own vision of the Hulk! That's a refreshing thing in movie making nowadays. We have almost nothing else but remakes and sequels. They now make movies based on the same mold: "Only what the public wanna see". What happened to what a director wants the public to see?

well bruce is a scientist and in the comic he wasn't the most attractive guy, in my opinion. i think the new bruce, edward norton, looks fine for the part. i love him as an actor, and the trailer fot the new movie looks really good. this movie wasn't that good, i expected a lot more from it.

I love the ending-- We expected a sequal( I was expecting the same Bruce too)
But in the first movie, I found it kinda annoying with those splitscreens.
Like during a time when the Hulk is running, there's a little square box on the side of the screen showing what the army is doing at that same time he's running. It's annoying because there's two screens and you're not sure which to pay attention to the most :P

I loved the Incredible Hulk television show I can see Edward Norton playing David Banner I think he would make Bill Bixby Proud! I'm glad they keep making the movies at least in some way Bill Bixby lives on.

The reason why I don't like THE HULK by Ang Lee is not because it's profiund...it's because it's boring...I've spent years reading the comics and, I'm sorry, that whole pseudodepth the thai filmmaker gave to the film, as well as putrid cg , helped make the movie forgettable...claiming the ones who did not care aout that filme were BELOW the grandness of the picture is such a self-indulgent type of 'reasoning' it's sickening.

The special effects were no less convincing than Andy Serkis as either Gollum or King Kong. It's not as if I'm the only individual familar with the character gave Lee's full length features it's just desserts and most who disparaged it were nostalgic for the far too dated television series.

The show is 10 timaes better than the Ang Lee film version...learning from their mistakes, the producers of the Ed Norton movie made Banner more like a guy-on-the-lam like the original series (the brand new poster shows a more melancholia-'driven' Banner with a bag walking around), as well as the design of the machine one can see in the new trailer looks alot like the one Bixby utilized when first exposed to the radiation.

The television show is superior? Is it because Ang Lee's adaptation is much more faithful to the comic book and was unfairly maligned? The full length feature did fare well at the box office and did good reviews but "Hulk" never matched the lightweight "Spiderman" in sheer numbers. It wasn't necessary to start with a clean slate after only five years but if Ed Norton and the new cast emulates the television show far too much- I assure you'll they'll tarnish a good reputation.
