Actually, Barraza didn't stick to the script due to some challenging english words; hence they simplified her script. And she does speak english, fairly well if I say so myself. U can actually understand her. Love the movie!

She doesn't speak English. She was wonderful in the movie speaking English but apparently she memorized every word in English. I had no idea she couldn't speak English when I first saw the movie. Considering all this she did such a fantastic job in the movie. All of them did fantastic jobs in the movie.

I agree with you, it is absolutely a good movie and they are such a good actors, but she does speak English, in fact she teaches acting classes at Miami-Dade College in Miami, FL.

They filmed this down the street from my house in La Mirada, I got to meet Luke Wilson, he's really really nice. Can't wait for this movie to come out!
