I wish they let people in UFC go all out on each other and refs would only step in if they had to get the other guy off the other guy.. It looked like Rampage had it in the bag as Griffin was complaining of a hurt foot the whole fight. I doubt it.
I disagreed with the ruling of the fight. Forest didnt do enough to take a championship belt. Think jackson/liddell, rampage came in put it all on the line and took!! the belt, hands down. Forrest did not show champion caliber fighting, but he ends up with the belt. On the other hand rampage didnt have that killer instinct that we've seen or saw vs liddell. Rematch will difinetely end with Forrest knocked out.

Forrest deserved the decision for a couple of reasons:

I think the winner of Liddell-Rashad Evans is ahead of Quinton and if Quinton wants the next spot he should avenge his two losses to Wanderlei Silva, or wait behind him also, if he don't want to risk that. I think he screws himself if he refuses to fight Wandy or Shogun if offered to him in order to get another shot. Then again maybe he screws himself taking those fights...but if you want to get back to the top you have to earn your way their...see GSP twice.

reality is that fights arent scored on expectations they are scored(i thought youd know this by now they say it every damn time) on Effective striking and grappling, cage control, and aggression. not we thought jimmy was gunna kick his ass right away but it went to a decision, he still dominated the fight but its not what we expected so he loses(not referring to this fight just reiterating that expectations for the outcome do not affect the outcome)

yea forest completely had the second round but he was no where near finishing rampage. muther fucker was almost knocked out in the first round with that upper cut and i counted 2 other times rampage had him stumbling in later rounds. if you looked at the damage comparison, rampage had a bad leg from some leg kicks and griffins face was bleeding. i still think rampage won 1,3,4,5 rounds and am pissed that he lost but what made it worse is how lopsided the judges gave it to forest.

The script was written before we saw the fight. If Forrest is standing after 5 rounds,he will be crowned.

If I was a judge that would have been in the back of my mind. Rampage = Favorite, his expectations for the fight.
Forrest = Underdog, his expectations for the fight.
Now when I am scoring and I see Forrest's expectations coming to fruition that plays a role in how I score the rounds throughout the fight.
Take a deep breath and deal with reality.

reality is that fights arent scored on expectations they are scored(i thought youd know this by now they say it every damn time) on Effective striking and grappling, cage control, and aggression. not we thought jimmy was gunna kick his ass right away but it went to a decision, he still dominated the fight but its not what we expected so he loses(not referring to this fight just reiterating that expectations for the outcome do not affect the outcome)

Thats nice, who won? This was no Bisping over Hamill decision...it was not aggregious. You guys are making a big deal over it because it was a championship fight, but I do not buy into this ridiculous theory that you have to decisively beat the champ...No you just got to beat him.
Quinton acknowledged the loss in the ring. What he said afterward is great, but even he felt that he had under performed and that Forrest took the fight to him.
There are not as many rip offs as we like to believe

The only thing that matters is that Forrest was an underdog and kick him all the way to the end and all Rampage had was punching power that was stop and was surprise it slowed him down. yea forest completely had the second round but he was no where near finishing rampage. muther fucker was almost knocked out in the first round with that upper cut and i counted 2 other times rampage had him stumbling in later rounds. if you looked at the damage comparison, rampage had a bad leg from some leg kicks and griffins face was bleeding. i still think rampage won 1,3,4,5 rounds and am pissed that he lost but what made it worse is how lopsided the judges gave it to forest.

he ran when he needed too and even when rampage tried to slam him forrest had that scouted too
forrest showed a lot more skill in this fight and he proved that he is a better all around fighter compared to rampage

nah man all i saw was rampage giving hits forest taking them on the chin and wobbling around throwing leg kicks.rampage takes him to the ground forest attempting a triangle, rampage picks him up tossed that suckuh to the side and kept pumbling him. you can agree with the judges its your opinion, while mine is the opposite while agreeing the rounds were close but i didnt see forrest landing enough strikes (other that round 2, and one round doesnt win you the fight) while rampage was landing them

what ever man we can keep going all night, how you agree with the judges decision is beyond me. only a fan can do that, just an observer would see rampage dropping forest and landing bombs on him all night except the second round. the only round forest clearly won was the second thats it. period. how the judges scored rampage losing 4 is ridiculous. ridiculous. plus there was no slam attempt, just shaking that clown off his arm. forest threw punches all night and connected with 20% of them. But when Griffin tried the triangle,he got lifted and dumped on his neck. Again just running around and not getting knocked-out,while landing few punches and kicks for the last 3 rounds.Yet absorbing direct punches during those rounds doen't make u a champ,unless it's a Rocky movie or sadly UFC wanting their original golden-boy to be champ.
The script was written before we saw the fight. If Forrest is standing after 5 rounds,he will be crowned.

Truepunkass- U have truely expressed the Rocky sendrome.Griffin surviving the fight as you descibed it 17 minutes ago doesn't equate to WINNING a fight over a reigning champion!
Because Forrest didn't get knocked-out,I see so many equating that to a victory. Look closely at the two after the fight,Griffin looks bruised and swollen,Jackson at best has a slight limp,but not cuts - no blood.
In my 7 yrs. of following UFC,this is easily one of the most questionable results.

It's pretty easy to prove you wrong....seeing that the first UFC fights were done in a elimination format...there was field of fighters (from not only America) and you had to fight your way to the final...that night...and as I recall...Royce Gracie a Brazilian ended up the victor in the first couple of UFC's. In addition not all of the title bouts have consisted of one or both fighters being American...so take a couple deep breaths and relax homie ;)
