consumers AND restaurants both have responsabilities. how can consumers make a wise, healthy choice when they can't see the nutrional value of the stuff they are eating, remember the restaurant industry fights off any law that makes them post up their meals nutritional value (calories, sat fat, cholesterol ect.)

Yes because people who aren't completely knowledgeable about healthy food deserve to DIE for not knowing how much salt is in a plate of food. I don't think that going to Denny's for your health is a wise decision either, but 6000mgs of salt is extreme. Whats worse is they allow people to consume Denny's without telling them what they're about to eat. It appears to be a cheap, convenient breakfast with regular items you could make at home. How are people supposed to know how much salt is in it?
