she didnt "blow up" the show is based off of a new human race named the diclonius. they are born with special "powers" called vectors, or invisible arms that vibrate at such a high frequency that they can cut through objects (like people). most of them have 4, but the one that caused the girl to explode had like 30 of them. she actually, by my theory, implanted 10-15 of her vectors into the girls stomach, then simply pushed outward in all directions. BOOM.
